Well Ima tell yall like this. If you go, find out the price first and buy ahead of time. Houston can be kinda funny when it comes to BOTB. About 2 or 3 years ago they had one at the dome and apparently TxSU and PVU were suppose to be there. Oh really? Then why was I in the ticket line instead of being at the band room with the rest of the "Ocean" preparing to come there? TxSU and PVU never had any intentions on being there, that's why. Plus, they tried to charge like $24!!! at the door. For a High School BOTB??? Man come on. All I'm say is get all the info you can get before you go. And if they are still going to charge alot, go early and be there for the entire event. You may see some schools you like. Me, personally, I always saw a high school BOTB as the perfect chance to recruit. think about...........

Update. Free and AJ from 86 and Park will be there. I heard them interview her on the radio this morning. I know of 2 High School bands that will be present. M.B. Smiley (who will win it all) and Kashmere.

The price on the radio was $25.00. With that being said, I do not know if I am going. 25.00 is a lot of loot for a high school event.

Still dont know who is sponsoring this event. Who is getting all the money.

Personal comment. If I was Prof. Lee, I would crash this event. How are you going to be in the city and the Ocean not make a cameo.
 
HELL yeah, we stayin in the H Town now...

Maybe I'll have a chance to catch the St. Louis Cardinals whoop the Astros in Houston on tv for their final game to go to the World Series. That city will look so devestated
 
if Smiley will win it all..Willowridge isn't there...Smiley is great in the stands (excpet when they face Ridge they decide to watch) but average on the field.

25.00 to get in and 7.00 to park. I might make this event either ! For all that do make this event have a safe and fun time !!!
 



THanks jag4life for reporting the correct ticket price. It was 15 pre-sale and 20 at the door. This unfortunatley for me was a $200.00 BOTB, but that's another story.

THe battle of the bands was O.k. I thought it would be a btter selection of High School Bands, like Smiley and Willowridge. It was nice watching some of the other bands for a change. Washington Marion was the best high school there. They represented the BOOT well. They got much house, their show was clean and they also had a nice sound.

UAPB, was good, I enjoyed seeing them. Very nice sound. I think the 2003-04 Pine Bluff band was much better. YOu guys had a very nice nice sound. Hearing them tonight put no doubt in my mind that they represented well against the Ocean last week. The majorettes are FIYAH !!

Good Job

PV, another great performance by the Storm. PV represented Texas well.
 
UAPB sounded really good, but lacked energy IMO. I think if they "sold" the show more to the crowd, it would have gone over better. Maybe the tempo had something to do with it.

PV did well. The crowd loved it. There were a few balance issues at times during the dancer number. I would have liked to see a concert number. Other than that... :tup:
