PV vs. TSU outcome

so I suppose that when the Motion performed in gold back in 97 they were trying to be like the Foxes? I suppose that when they did the Black Fox Circle back in the 90's they were trying to be like the Foxes???? (you don't even have to answer that) I suppose that any line that wears silver is trying to be like the Motion? (Mind you, silver isnt even one of TSU's school colors)

The Motion FINALLY found a style and actually stuck with it throughout the entire season and suddenly they've become the only bright spot in a ocean halftime....

Its no wonder why you people keep taking "L's" at the LDC....

The Motion once aqain stole a style and actually stuck with it throughout the entire season. This year it was the J-Settes of JSU !! They did play them in week 2 !! So it was easy to stick with one of their routines for the season.
 
I was at the game and the way I saw it was TSU and PV both did a great job. TSU had the edge on the field only because I had seen PV's show in Dallas. TSU did some of the same things they did in Grambling but the closet brought them through. In the stands, TSU had a raw brassy sound and PV had a more controled/rounded sound. It just depends on what you prefer. I myself prefer a more controled sounding band so I give the win to PV in the stands. It was nice as always to hear "All Blues" from PV in the stands. Both schools played good song selections in the stands which made for an interesting battle. Both bands should be proud of their performances!!!!! :nod: :nod: :nod: :nod:

Thanks for compliment, however that was not the same show that PV did in Dallas, maybe the same majorette routine, that's it.

I'm still tring to "Fine tune my sensory apporatus" to PV's drills but they look the same to me. Sorry!
 
PV has a good solid program. I just have to get used to the drills. I have to expand my mind to the non traditional shapes, figures and designs that are used. So I'm trying. The break downs are usually on point though.

We choose to have our drill patterns unpredictable. We don't want folks saying "They will do the score 1st, then the circle, the star, and moving diamonds." Catch my drift, ya dig? Basic 3rd grade geometry. Use a french curve instead of a ruler. :lol:

:nod: True. I see the Train is still up to there old ways by blocking up on the sideline after halftime thinking that will put them over the top. Things never change. They looked pretty organized and together anyway. Wasn't bad. Any section not in Texas ought to be worried to go against either of the lines: BOX or Train

Halfway true: No one will know whos better until we face off. But how many times have we challenge only to receive a decline. As far as the Kenny/Kevin thing. Them dudes is on a another planet with their skill, but as a line Funk Train Snares are dam near cleaner than UofH, but true like u said no one can here that in Reliant, it does sound like clutter from across the field. Yes Funk Train has changed THE HEIGHT OF THEIR SNARE DRUM(not their style) similar to the BOX but doesnt A&amu and Bama St. also. You should be askin GSU and UAPB why they decided to crank up their snare heads. As far as livin off of a legacy, we Funk Train members say that because only the ol' school BOX would take on ANY challengers. Thats when they we were The King of he Mountain. Its not like that anymore, and you guys just dont have the balls to prove our claim as fallacy.
