PV vs. TSU outcome

This is how it went from a ***** who was in the battle...

1st half: PV
halftime: based on house it might be TxSU...BUN B A FLIP FLOP...We was goin off tho...iono ask someone else about this one... :lol:
2nd half:PV(we took over the whole 4th and half of the 3rd...
5th: PV...before u get to trippin about why pv left...it was because TxSU told us we can only play 2 songs in the 5th and they got to play 3 but i aint trippin we still held it down...

5th play by play:

1st song - PV - Getaway
2nd song - TxSU - Cold Hearted Snake :tdown:
3rd song - PV - Knights by Knight
4th song - TxSU - Charlie Wilson
5th song - TxSU - ? what they played cuz we left out the stadium by then i couldnt hear it in the tunnel...

Anyone who is a true musician will give PV the win for the simple fact that TxSU aint even on our level... We called a n***a from TxSU @ golden corral to confirm the victory... DIRECT QUOTE: "Yea yall got us" - Quienten(however u spell it), TxSU Asst. Tuba Section Leader

b-tones - there wasnt a direct battle, so i really dont know but TxSU sounded like they was blowin and I KNOW our B-tones is off the chain but i aint gon take no side until i hear some of our clips...

MAAAAAN if u got clips or Pics post them hos...i know i got on a couple n***as cameras....
 
TSU's halftime....typical.....lots of noise...typical, unimaginative dance routine....they did SU 1995 with the Michael Jackson routine...wait, TSU did Mike back in 1995 for their homecoming.

maybe it was where I was sitting...but tsu had way too much going on at halftime. I didnt get the whole "trapped in the closet" with Michael Jackson.
I've seen alot better from PV but I think tsu kicked themselves in the foot with the lengthy and noisy guest spots.

WHEN PV COULD TRAVEL AND NOT JUST SEE GRAMBLING EVERY YEAR. I GOT THAT ON TAPE. WHEN THE CUBE WAS THE BOX AND THE STORM ACTUALLY MEANT SOMETHING. To address your comments, PV last played Motownphilly in 1991, and the drill they did yesterday was not the same as the drill they did to it in 91. And TSU didn't get a lot of house on the field. Both shows were rather dry, and the rappers didn't help that at ALL. Both bands were doing their thing in the stands.

I don't see how anybody could fix their fingers to type that this was a lop-sided game in either direction.

2 I hear your uniforms now have a picture of a storm on the capes. Aint that peculiar?
3 We played Motown Philly back in 90 or 91 (ON Y'ALLZ ARSES) at the LDC


I guess storms really wouldn't exist without the Ocean.

With all due respect, let's dispel all that crap now.

1) The basses playing ya'lls fight song was.....interesting....but no different than TSU's trumpets playing Entertainment Tonight at us in 97.

2) Who do you 'hear' this crap from?!?! First off, when was the last time the Storm had a cape? Second, where did you see a picture of a Storm anywhere on their back? There is a black panther on the back of the uniform.

3) I would imaging y'all played Mowtownphilly as well. The song was on the charts in 91. Oh I forgot, schools in the SWAC don't bring back old songs and play them again after the year they came out...:rolleyes:

P.S. PV has started every show since at LEAST 88 with some version of the Entertainment Tonight fanfare. Why would this year be any different?

Oh. So y'all were just making fun of the fight song. I see. That's a pretty inconspicuous bass line. They must have been listening pretty close.

Cant say that I see any mutual disagreement on that.

It's all good though. So in your truest opinion, who was the better band at the game yesterday. And to show that I am the truest of good sports, good game on yesterday congratulations on y'alls win..
 
well i can't comment on the first half of the game because i walked in right @ halftime. Now both bands have been known to put on better halftime shows than the shows they put on yesterday and both bands are lacking energy on the feild and i think everyone that was there can see that neigther one of these bands are what they used to be when it comes to halftime but what band of today is. I can honestly say that tsu won the halfime by the house i don't know how????, considering how lame the mike jackson thing was but they got the most house @ halftime but they didn't win the battle because pv did get almost the same amount of house that tsu did and everyone that was there knows that pv was letting tsu have it in the stands, not tosay that tsu wasn't comming with it in the stands because they were but when it came to musicianship pv won the battle hands down. with that being said tsu sounds better than ever this year and i was extreemly impressed w/what they did yesterday keep up the good work :tup: . come to think of it, it is a dayum shame that both of these bands couldn't represent in atl :shame: but maby that dream will come true one day

No biggy. Just clarifying. To be honest with you, both bands seemed about as evenly matched as I have seen in the last 10 years. I was impressed with what the Ocean brought this year. Still a few things to be worked out, but overall, the sound is SOOOOO much better.

As far as issuing wins and losses, I won't do that. Halftime was SOOOO boring to me.....BOTH SHOWS. Overall, it seemed like TSU was playing with more of a point to prove.

i feel u Adro...them boys did play like they had somethin to prove...from my point of view this battle was somethin like a little brother(TxSU) buccin up to a big brother(PV)... dont take it literally think of the symbolism behind it... yea yall came wit it... WAAAAAAAY more than GSU... but thas were TxSU and GSU have in common...

I missed the LDC, but I did make it to the BC BOTB on sat. Of course bandheads were talking about it and the consensus was that the Ocean did win halftime accourding to the house. In the stands it was said that while PV sounded good as usual, they didn't play enough. I believe that over the last few years, the gap that had been is getting closer and closer. :lecture:

I honestly believe PV is trying to pull a Bush by misleading the peeps on this page. I spoke with varies peeps that have no affiliation or ties with PV or TSU, and they said it was no doubt who won that halftime. I was shocked when I read these posts claiming PV won :what:

Can we get someone from another school besides TSU/PV to comment???

I'll post my breakdowns after the truth has been told.

I dunno who you talked to, but BOTH of those shows were drier than virgin butt to me.
 
I don't know what yall saw but...............

TxSU won Halftime and Stands :argue:

their show was more interesting, and their sound was more powerful and clean this year. (plus a better book & arrangments)


PV was good, but TxSU got the "W" Friday afternoon.

and down!!! :wavey:
