PV vs. TSU game moved to Delmar Stadium

TSU folks and others lost interest in the blowout for 15 years. Hell, I should give myself an award for sitting through that tragedy.

Bullcrap.....tell the truth, during the years we drew 35K was because the high schoolers attended and it was a meeting place for them. they did NOT watch the game as they were walking around on the concourse socializing
 



SMH you all werent much better than them.. You had scholarships then and still didnt win NODA... You almost got thumbs up from the other folk until we all found out Ts CHEATED!!!
 
The SWAC needs to crack down on these cracker jack programs that attempt to play games in high school stadiums. These TX. So. people are tarnishing our brand and needs to be called on their small time and itty bitty mind set red beans, rice and fried wings committee decisions. The lack of vision for this game and venue is nothing less than trifling, lazy and insults visionaries that charted a course and put this conference on the map by playing games in great stadiums. Tx. So., tell your leaders to get off of their maple syrup butts and find a venue befitting of this game!
 
Why lie? TSU folks never lost interest.....I was there when the blowouts occurred in the 80s and 90s and the same folks are still there...just no one was picked up...

I believe the defense the tsu people are now using is that PV is not their top rival. So technically, they are not playing their top rival in a highschool stadium.:noidea:

And these are the types of low standards at tsu that I referred to earlier in the thread. If PV had never decided to invest in its athletic program; tsu wouldn't have either because all it took to make their "fans" happy was to beat PV.

point is it is at delmar and we cant change that now and none of us know why they could not find a bigger venue does that mean they didnt try? who knows but im sure they looked at robertson maybe UH wanted too much of the profit to use the stadium
 
We do know that TSU did not try. I am not harping on the TSU alums here. They are upstanding people. Again, my only beef is the propoganda in the official release of the game that says it is PV's fault due to late notice that the only place they had to acquire was Delmar. That is a lie and my issue. Now if the administration wants to say they chose it for financial reason then fine (of which many of the alums here are saying). That seems to be truth. The official statement is the lie!

Dude this is the first time that we are playing PV in a "high school" staduim! It all boils down to $$$ and cents. We are good with this decision as we KNOW what we are doing. This is the last year that where we are going to play our games will be an issue. We'll have a brand new stadium next year so how is that smalltime? Vision- how many of you play in a $60-80 million dollar stadium and only had to put about $3 million?????? It's quiet in here-just as I thought.
 
:clap:When PV was on that long 80-game losing streak we felt sorry for your sorry asses and hoped that you could win one-game before the rapture. TSU started investing in athletics whne we got an administration that embraced atheletics as well as academics. It had NOTHING to do with PV.


Now, I'll bet all you PV folks that we will go back to the SCG before you will. Now what about dat????? Now, that'll hold you!
 
Let's get the to the root of all of this.......Just as everybody knows, You folks are haters- you can't stand to see our athletic program come up and it's stuff for you to accept.
 
Honestly, because of this thread I want our football team to beat the hell out of PV this year. It's funny until this thread I was like ok we play PV, it's a SWAC contest and that was the reason I wanted the win to put us in the driver's seat to contend for the Western Division and play in the SCG.

Now PV, has just elevated themselves to the JSU, SU, GSU, and Alcorn list of schools we must whip their asses this year!

Um, when is the last time you beat PV again? You had your best chance last season and still couldn't get the job done against a backup QB. Don't think you'll be coming close anytime soon. You can wish and want all day long.... :emlaugh:
