PV stadium vs Alabama St stadium

Well damn I guess we the crazy ones not to agree that a 66 year old stadium is the BEST stadium in our conference, I guess we will have to pray our athletes don't try to transfer after playing in your glorious stadium

What does age have to do with anything?

Not saying your stadium is not nice because it's cute and it fits you BUT if our AD presented that to us, he would get fired on the spot. #facts.

I like the other stuff they have built or are going to build...wheeler would get ran out of Jackson with that stadium idea tho. No lies told. 15k just wouldn't suffice. No shade whatsoever

I agree 100%. An HBCU in a majority black city without a pot to piss in would be foolish to build an FCS sized stadium. You can just turn the lights on and folks will start showing up just to see what's happening. Ya'll should be able to pack that stadium on your own. Anything less means your product is lacking. You all seem to be hovering around 1/4 capacity. #facts.

Hey I know your feeling are hurt and all, but you need to look at this objectively. In our worst years, we often average more in attendance than the maximum capacity of your stadium. Yeah, your stadium is nice, but it doesn't fit us (JSU). Why would we build a 15K capacity stadium?

I don't think you understood my post when you replied to me in the first place. I'm certain that you didn't now.

Wrong again. You said something bout a "scathing indictment" on HBCU's. Well, most HBCU's aren't building a brand new stadium like you all. If they were, then maybe I'd retract my statement about Veterans being one of the better stadiums in BCF. Our stadium is the best situation for us (JSU) right now, and it wouldn't be a bad situation for most other BCF programs.

Whether you agree with that or not really doesn't matter in this case.

Why would my feelings be hurt? Your worst years aren't shit compared to our scholarshipless years and still we could go right up the street to Dallas and have the band alone help bring 50K people into a stadium. So no we don't have a people problem. We had a facilities problem. Regardless I already said it would be foolish to build an FCS sized stadium for JSU. What do you folks not understand about having a city full of bored black folks ready to head out as soon as some lights come on? But again that's in theory. You aren't getting but a quarter of your capacity filled. As I said that speaks to your product.

No you just made it very clear that you don't understand.

a thing that serves to illustrate that a system or situation is bad and deserves to be condemned.

I said its either an indictment of JSU or HBCU's as a whole. In other words for the folks east of the Mississippi if the trash that is Memorial is truly the best stadium among HBCU's then we have no hope and should all just stop wasting money on athletics because its just that bad across the board. Or its an idictment of JSU because you believe that trash is the best thing out there which would show that you all are too bad off to know what good is and should just stop wasting money on athletics. I think its pretty clear to just about everyone outside of JSU that the problem is with you country sips. Either way the key is that Memorial is a POS. Once you come to grips with that then you'll understand the statement.

Yet our attendance is better than yours, so what does that say about PV's product? So does that make PV garbage? And don't hang your hat on a Classic....we're talking facilities. If you had a facilities problem, the data will never support that because your stadium only holds 15K. Are you all gonna install turnstiles at the tailgating section, too? LOL

There's nothing out there that suggests that Memorial is in worse condition than a LOT of FCS schools, especially BCF's. But hey, if that's your story then stick to it. I know when I'm spinning my wheels.

Congrats on your new stadium.

Dude please. PV had a 5,000 seat high school stadium and STILL couldn't consistently sell it out. Some folks just lie just for the hell of it. We'll see can you guys sellout the new one more than once a year.

From the looks of this your product is a box or rocks.

The stadium is perfectly fine at 15K right now. I don't think its sunk into your head yet that much of the FCS world around us has stadiums around 15K in size. There's a reason for that. But you can't see it because ya'll are too busy counting folks that haven't stepped foot on JSU's campus ever and couldn't give a crap. They're just there because there's nothing else to do in that excuse for a city. So again it would make sense for you to have a larger stadium to take advantage. Don't know how many other ways this point can be made. Every home game for you is a Classic because its the only bit of excitement going on for probably a few hundred miles. That doesn't bother us in the slightest out here in reality. We aren't trying to compete with JSU on capacity. In fact we aren't trying to compete with JSU at all. That would be extreme shortsightedness.

Typing "facts" doesn't make a statement any more true lol with under reported numbers how does anyone know the "facts" . Still top 2 school attendance wise in the swac. Factssss
Ok... then everybody's numbers are "under reported" and we can all just make up any attendance numbers we want. So what is the discussion about again?

You right we didn't sell out and we won't ever drag as many people out of the woods as thee, but last I checked we lost to jsu by how much last year with our sorry attendance?

But that's the funny thing. Let's say we scaled their stadium down to 25K. They STILL aren't selling it out in Jackson Mississippi of all places. I mean you can only either kick rocks there or go to a JSU game and more folks are choosing to kick rocks. They'd have really only needed more than a 15K seat stadium on one occasion last season if they'd built one with any kind of sense to allow for standing room or grass seating.

Attendance has never won anyone a championship... Wait a minute... yes it has... see the 2013 SWAC Championship (that's another thread for another day)

I'm convinced now that they aren't trying to win anything but attendance records. Just makes our road a tiny bit easier.

Southland Conference Stadium Capacity

Sam Houston State - 12,500
Lamar - 16,000
Stephen F Austin - 14,575
McNeese State - 17,000
Northwestern State - 15,900
Abilene Christian - 15,000

These schools are consistently whooping yalls (and our) asses. You think they give a damn about a stadium size.

These are the schools we're (PV) fighting recruits for. Our stadium is just right for us right now.

Every single school on that list up there would tear the 60K seat stadium temporarily using school ass out the frame in football, bar none. :D

More good teams makes everybody better. Also, if your future predictions are accurate, I would love to have you guys in the SLC. The SWAC will just anchor you down.

Isn't that something? lol

Keep saying it enough and maybe one day you'll believe it. Just maybe.
