PV stadium vs Alabama St stadium

I love all of our stadiums. I wish AAMU would've had our own stadium when we were in college. Today's blacks take so much for granted. There wasn't always a time......, but I digress........

I am not going to lie. I used to be jealous of AAMU's and Troy's stadiums when I was in school. Overall, it ticks me off that HBCUs have to struggle to have nice facilities.

Fellow Panthers,
Remember when we drew hella crowds for the Cotton Bowl and Labor Day Classic when we had no team and just a band? Remember when, even though we had no real stadium, there was never an empty seat in the house at Blackshear? Hell let them sleep on our new stadium being empty if they want. Let them continue to think we won't need 30K soon enough..... Just like Memorial hasn't been sold out in..... nevermind. Have to stop myself. I refuse to go an "eye for an eye" in this thread. Lol.... I rather people fight to get in our small 15K, than to hand out tickets on the corner of every home game fighting the local community to come in and fill it up! Ha..... Carry on.

*And Alabama A&M should never utter anything in regards to attendance -- EVER!

Oh they thought it was just a stadium? Lulz!

With plans being made for an enrollment increase up to 15,000 students in the near future, there's nothing wrong with planning for future growth.

LMAO these mofos acting like they gonna have a demand for 30K that's the funny thing..... & still lmao at panthro saying that shat is state of the art with them aluminum azz seats. It's a high school stadium period, now the end zone complex is nice but that stadium is exactly like Madison Central HS stadium
I said the same thing, the endzone little facility is nice but the stadium is nothing like some of these people on here making it. I mean it's ok but it's a plain azz high school stadium. Just my opinion. Pv stadium is the standard for all new high school stadiums in Texas. . Bama states stadium does atleast look like a FCS stadium. I'm happy for then especially since they were playing in any and everybody's stadium but I wouldnt do to much bragging. Even A&M stadium gives you a better FCS look than pv. Ijs. And Dnt mention memorial stadium, memorial looks better than 99 percent of all SWAC stadiums and that 1 percent would go to Bama state.

Southland Conference Stadium Capacity

Sam Houston State - 12,500
Lamar - 16,000
Stephen F Austin - 14,575
McNeese State - 17,000
Northwestern State - 15,900
Abilene Christian - 15,000

These schools are consistently whooping yalls (and our) asses. You think they give a damn about a stadium size.

These are the schools we're (PV) fighting recruits for. Our stadium is just right for us right now.

Why do you all keep saying this? Memorial is old as hell and again, the ONLY nice thing about that stadium is the capacity. Really you all seem kinda salty that you seem to be the only ones that can't seem to manage to build your own stadium on campus. And honestly, the demand for capacity at your games really hasn't been that great as of lately for that stadium size to even matter.

Grambling St, SU, PVAMU, sTu, UAPB, MVSU, & AlcSU are the ONLY SWAC schools to schedule a game vs those aforementioned SLC powerhouse schools because they have ZERO fear of competition. There are "certain" SWAC schools, who shall remain nameless, that are scared as HELL from being dismantled by a fellow D-I FCS SLCer. Must suck to be scared of neighboring competition from a D-I FCS conf. And it must suck to lose to D-I FCS TnSU annually. Has to suck. smh :( Po' thang.

Where do folks keep coming up with this "making it out to be" crap? The only thing we've made it out to be is exactly what it is.... a 15K seat stadium with suites and a club level which is right on par with FCS and room to double it.

I guess seeing somebody else building from their own blood and sweat will make you salty when all you got is a second hand piece of shit that folks itchin to tear down.

These Mississippi folk should seriously get out more if they truly believe that Memorial is nice. Its a dump. period. Damn nostalgia....when it comes to what's attractive to kids/recruits TODAY I would put our on-campus stadium up against jsu's anyday of the week.

Insert talk about aluminum---->(here)
Insert talk about 15k-----> (here)

I mean seriously... lets analyze this.... again..... There ain't shit in the city of Jackson and not the slightest hope of ever getting any sort of serious sports there. The one slither they got is a 60K seat stadium that's so dilapidated they'd rather tear it down and expand a hospital. And these folks here talking like they inherited AT&T stadium lmmfao. Talking about us bragging I'd keep my mouth shut if somebody handed me a damn near condemned building like that's all I was worth.

Remember I'm from Jackson. The only thing memorial has is capacity. It's not nice it's just big. No bowl games there, no high school playoffs games there, and no other activities going on there. So if it was so nice these things I mention would be taking place.

Damn good points!

The saltiness is real from that camp over yonda'. I guess I'd be bitter too if my school could not afford its own on-campus stadium lol. Cannot...afford :D on campus lol.

What other d-1 FCS schools across america do not have their own on-campus stadium?

This is the DEEPEST post I've ever witnessed on this site. Kudos to PV7. Some need to seriously revisit PV7's words and truthisms while knowing exactly the caliber of student-athlete you are sporting, coaching, facilities, et al. The tale of the tape will occur shortly. Witness the ascension for yourself as the divide becomes wider between the "haves" and "have nots." They (SLC, MVFC, OVC, et al) have; we WANT. (T&G student-athletes that can dominate and win)

It's all facts man. The funny part is I read their responses between breaks while I was officiating summer league b-ball yesterday. I couldn't wait to get home and drop those numbers on their azz. I've been saying for a while that we (Prairie View) will now have the 2ND LARGEST FCS stadium in the State of Texas.

We lost recruits in the last minute to Lamar (two 3-stars), Sam Houston, and Texas State this past signing day. All of those recruits visited campus. The only school SWAC school I believe we lost a recruit to was Alcorn but the kid never visited.

+1 to the factoids. We are competitive.

But do know that some cannot fathom facts. There are quite a few who think their team actually beat Prairie View 14 to 56 last fall. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D How dumb. Duhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....

JSU has the best stadium in FCS period...
However, the one at PV has amenities that wish JSU had.
I don't see anything particularly nice about Alabama State's stadium except that it's new.
