We just got through punking a team out of the SWAC tournament. LOL I am not going to mention their name because I would be accused of "hating".

Our 3 scholarshipped team is actually punking folks, LOL.

If we whipped you twice in one year, post here......:lmao:

Thanks to the win, we got to keep our coach. Thanks for f-ing things up.

With a Gram loss and a Southern win on Saturday, Southern fill the 8th spot in the playoff.

Good thing nobody is paying you to report the news.
 



All I said is that we punked a team out of the SWAC Tournament, it will either be SU or GSU since we whipped both.

Why spend all that money on basketball scholarships if you have trouble beating Prairie View?

You have truly made my day by revealing the true facts about PV. That sure is a sad statement about PV's program. Even you recognize that you guys are sad. I'm used to others saying "Your school is sad because PV beat you" but I've never heard it from a PV fan. Thanks for using your journalistic instincts to make us all aware of the state of your basketball program.

Don't worry Southernite's Courtney (the People's Choice for Coach of the Year) is going to take you all out back behind that high school gym and put you out of your misery Saturday night.

All of this People's Choice stuff is simply amazing. First TSU is the People's Choice SWAC Indoor Champ and now your coach is the People's Choice Coach of the Year. Here's an idea....Why not just win outright and then you can be the only true winner?? :idea: The SWAC makes coach of the year really simple, just win the championship to become Coach of the Year. the way it looks, TSU will outnumber SU fans. I don't think these people know one loss will keep them out of the tournament.Only way they'll fill the gym up if they announce that there's a football game after the basketball game.

That is embarrassing if my team cannot make the SWAC Tournament.

Are you still here mouthing off. SU will be back. I promise you that. So have your fun now. This basketball thing is temporary. A renovated Mini-Dome and a return to Basketball promience is on the way. 2 years removed from winning 20 games and you act like we are done forever. You of all people should know that SU isn't going to be that way for long. Definitely not like PV. Just worry about PV's baseball team and PV's track team beating SU. You better be nice to your SWAC Daddy. Oh, I forgot everybody in the SWAC is your Daddy. Are you guys ahead in any of the head to head meetings against your fellow SWAC schools in the Major 3 sports. Just asking. If my school had been pimped and slapped around by all the other SWAC schools then I would not have nothing to say. PV ain't had a good basketball team from start to finish since my HS classmates Reginald Jones and Lloyd Lamb were there in the 80's. So keep SU out your mouth son. You ain't worthy.
 
why do you all live in the past? You don't see me bragging on the the domination we had in the 60s.

BG Gag, what's so embarrassing about the losses? I can see if we had a full deck of cards to play with. You have the full deck and still lose to us.

You suck, don't let the HS coach and his adopted team whip you all again.
 
Well PF our past in bball is only 2 years back. Didn't SU play for the SWAC Tournet Championship in 2000? Right after SU's Football team won the 1st SCG for their 3- Pete. You act like we have had 20 years of losing. Especially in basketball. Sure we are down now. It's the worst SU bball team ever. I bet if we were PV it wouldn't be the worse ever. This SU team would be par for the course at PV. Yeah you swept us this year. Congrats. You earned it. But don't get carried away like this will be a norm. You know good and well that Plummer has done all he can at PV. Even as old as Jobe is, he improved a team that he inherited as the season went on. SU has been in every game the second half of the season. Not bad for a team thrown together without recruits. You watch Jobe pull in some cats for next year. After Denver traded AJ to Dallas, he might be one step closer to coming home to SU. We have the freshman of the year and the whole team back. We will be heard next year. My question is. Will PV improve? You got some talent, but will you do anything with it. And don't give me the 3 scholarship crap either. Everybody knows its easier to build a basketball team than a football team. Especially with all the kids that can't go pro or to the PWCs.
 
I am looking at the standings, SU with 2 HS all americans from SU Lab OUT, PV with walk-ons, IN
 
What HS ALL Americans? Whatever you say. I guess you mean Scott. I guess you really think PV is that much better. This is as good as you're going to get PV. SU will not be this sad next year. This is our worst team in our history. And our record wouldn't even be the worst in PV's history. We are at home. You glad. Good. You'll be back home after round one. It isn't like your team is going to BHAM. Have fun in Montgomery or where ever you play.~snicker~ You act like PV really accomplished something. When you guys beat a good SU team twice in a season then you can talk. Until then, enjoy your meaningless victories over SU this year. Not like you are going to get trophy for it. Remember Alcorn was down before Whitney came back out of retirement. SU will be back too. Count on it. It's just way we do things on the Bluff. We don't tolerate losing year after year like PV folks do. BTW, our Lady Jags will bring the title home for SU. Will PV men's do the same? Just asking.
 



We don't have any high school all-americans on the team. Some good high school players maybe, but no all-americans. I'm still trying to figure out who you are talking about (Tarver and Scott maybe), but anyway, it's now just time to lick the wounds and prepare for next year. Hopefully they will be able to turn things around, and when we do...well you will see.

Boy you all wonder why members of the Jaguar Nation have big egos. Who would'nt have a big ego if at team with a better record feels that they are the "Peoples' Champion" if they beat a basketball team that is 2 steps from the basement. Well, you all beat our guys; but, that didn't earn you a championship cause Alcorn locked that up last week. I may be making a bad assumpion here; but, I'm under the impression that you talking about the Men's team. I know you can't be talking about he women's team since they only lost one SWAC game and both of our wins against you guys weren't close. Please explain to me how you are the People's Champion. I'm don't get it. :confused: :confused: :confused:

As for the coach of the year award, the SWAC took that lazy position a few years ago and started automatically making the Champion's Coach the Coach of the Year. I think that is a bad decision; but, that is what they did. I haven't seen anything written anywhere that state's that they have gone back to the old way (and best way) of doing it.
 
looks like Elwood Plummer's job is saved again due to the lack of talent at SU, GSU, Alabama State, Valley, etc.
