OH YES GRAM, PULLED THINGS OUT THE UNIFORM ,BUT DIDN'T DO THINGS THAT P.V. DID. DID YOU SEE THE TAPING FROM WHAT THE T.V. SHOWED. IF I WAS A PARENT I WOULDN'T HAVE WANTED MY CHILD TO SEE THAT AND WHEN P.V. HUNCHED TOWARDS THE FRONT :smash: , IT'S JUST SOME THINGS YOU DON'T DO ON T.V, I'M NOT HATING ,BECAUSE YOU GOT TO DO WHAT YOU GOT TO DO TO GET THE FANS, BUT WHIPING BETWEEN THE LEGS IS JUST LOL DAMN I CAN'T EVEN THINK OF A WORD AND YES P.V. TOOK THE TOWEL BACKWARDS AND FORWARDS AND THAT IS A WHIPING GESTURE. MANY DIRECTORS WERE TALKING ABOUT THAT AND THEY ARE STILL TALKING ABOUT IT TUESDAY, DR PANNELL TOOK THAT IS VERY OFFENSIVE AND HE SAID HIMSELF THAT HE COULDN'T BELEIVE THAT EDWARDS WOULD DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT BECAUSE AT SWAC MEETING THING S WERE MENTIONED ABOUT DOING THINGS LIKE THAT, PV SOUND IS NICE, THE BOX DIDN'T GET THE CROWD LIKE THEY USED TO. THERE WERE NOT SEVERAL SPOTS THAT GOT HOUSE, TO BE EXACT THE SLOW LEAN ON HEAD SPRUNG AND WHITE T'S GOT HOUSE, P.V'S SHOW WAS DEAD UNTIL THE WHITE T'S REALLY, BUT I CAN HONESTLY SAY P.V IS THE ONLY BAND THAT GIVES GRAMBLING COMPETITION ON THE FIELD. STEVE HARVEY IS A DIE HARD TEXAN, THAT KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT BAND AND SHOWMANSHIP OF BANDS SO I WOULDN'T ASK HIM A THING. HE IS GOOD AT WHAT HE DOES, AND I WOULD LIKE TO KEEP IT THAT WAY.

I have the tape from Fox, so yes I have seen it. What you are speaking is a PERSONAL opinion. If YOU don't like it, that's YOU!!!! Sounds to me like you are spliting hairs to find a reason why we got the response we got. Our PV roll, is no different than that "Put your hand on the ground and hump your horn" that GSU has done for years on end.....Pot, Kettle, Blah.....

I'm not gonna sit here and belittle Grambling in an attempt to boost us up. It ain't necessary. Grambling is bigger and sounds cleaner than years past. They put on a good show.

Check the Sunday edition of the Dallas Morning News, and see what even THEY said about the show. Give it up man, it's over. Move on to next week.

It would probably be wise for some of these grambling people to just take this "L" and move on. I was there and I saw the tape from FOX. PV got house throughout...ET, Box, Black Foxes, and of course the dance routine. In terms of dance routines, gsu just did too much. They did that move where they run around the field like damn fools atleast twice. Then they did that whole 'breakdown' thing they do every year. Somehow it wasn't as effective as in years past. Then they killed that little bit of momentum with the band directors "steppin". (Notice I excluded Fire and Desire :vomit: ) GSU did good. PV was just better.

you must talked to some of the ignorant people, i watched the tape on yesterday and if you have to wipe between your legs to get house then you are pathetic and plus hunching at the camera lol, gsu did a clean show and still got house without the white t, don't need props, but of course the black mentality likes ignorant sexual gestures. not taking away form p.v. they are a great band, but it some things you don't do on t.v, as far as dance routine gsu ran cirlces around p.v. so whomever said that is speaking a bunch of bull. on the real though both bands were entertaining, gsu show was more entertaining. p.v. show was boring until they pulled out the white t's and that's a fact. the box didn't even get house lol.

Say cat.....there is no need for all the ranting and raving. No one said anything bad about GSU but you can venture on over to other message boards and see the response of people who were watching the game on FOX at the time. Go over there and call them ignorant to their faces. I didn't talk to any of them. I just read what they had to say and they all seemed to agree. According to them and people who were at the game both bands had the crowd into it so how can you claim PV got no house.

And the funny thing is that I have yet to see anyone actualy describe what went on with the t shirts except that it was tight. You are the first and only person I have seen to say anything about it being vulgar.

And speaking of hunching.....does not GSU get down on one hand and hunch their horn between their legs in EVERY dance routine. Do they not do all types of grinding moves while playing slow songs.

Look patna....all people did was give their opinions. If you don't agree then thats YOU.....but its no reason to call anyone ignorant. By coming on here ranting you only make it seem like you really did take a bad L and just trying to save face.

You have a copy of both shows, I am sure ! There is no way that you can tell that the crowd was not louder for PV than they were for Grambling. GSU had a nice show, don't get me wrong !! But the corwd liked PV's show better !!!

It's that simple. In all honesty, PV has a far better band than GSU and it once again proven at this years State Fair Classic !

Read specifically what I said. Don't read into what I said. I didn't mention which show was better. I merely mentioned the response I heard from the crowd to what the bands/dancers were doing. Again I didn't mention which band was better. I don't engage in those types of debates because it will never end.

Case in point:
I remember around this time last year I posted an article that was written by a spectator of the SFC and they said they like Gramblings band better and all I heard was "They were white, they don't know how a band is supposed to sound." When Steve Harvey said that he like Gramblings drumline better than PV last year all I heard was "Steve Harvey don't know what they hell he talking about." I heard that Jay Anothony Brown said that PV drumline was better, it must be true because he said it on the Tom Joyner Morning Show. All the D.J.'s in Dallas said that PV band was better. I don't have a problem with that. Because they have an opinion just like me. Is there opinion more important that mine or yours because they are a Disc Jockey/Comedian/TV star...no.

Well from reading some opinions of neutral people that saw the halftime on TV it appears that this may be true in the minds of many.....not taking anything away from GSU.


Now someone tell me what the band did with the white tees.

I'm not taking anything from anyone myself, I feel as if the dallas fans were entertained in the best way by both bands.

You've been hearing a lot of the wrong stuff. Last year, Steve Harvey clowned Grambling's Drumline at the comedy show. How do I know...? I was there! He said(in more/less words) how PV put on and grambling was un-organized. I don't know who your sources are but they are'nt reliable. :lecture:

I'm like Mach. I am not gonna sit here and debate opinions, cuz everybody has a different one. If YOU didn't like the white tee thing, then that's a personal problem. I just refuse to let someone get on here and spew conjecture about what happened. It was what it was. You said that the only thing that PV did that got house was the white tees....That is false....Next you will say Grambling didn't get boo'ed, which again, is false...That doesn't mean their show wasn't nice, it just means that some folks boo'ed them....

Get over it, and move on to next week.

1. Let me guess, all of the directors that had something to say were from GSU right? :idea:

2. Tell Dr. Pannell that he needs not to spend any more time on Edwards, tell him his time should have been spent thinking of an ORIGINAL dance routine, instead of the one you all stole from Alabama State Univ this same year.

3. That's the only thing that GSU can say every year is that PV got on the ground and danced like some roaches. When GSU tries to do the same thing and try and hate when you can't get the same crowd response.

5. Instead of keep bashing I will follow up with more compliments to BOTH BANDS on a job well done. I was more than pleased with halftime. The 20 something bucks for the ticket was well worth the halftiome show alone !

For what its worth, the band directors have been dancing with the band in a couple of routines for the last couple of years...I know last year for sure (WF members correct me if I am wrong). This isn't just something that they came up with.

GSU's directors danced with the band 2 or 3 years ago when they played Alabama St.

People on these boards use the word "steal" or other forms of it just to make their opinion seem stronger. I guess the Orchesis "stole" the Black Foxes' uniform arguement will come up next. In that case, I guess we all "stole" from Fat Joe, Juvenille, the Miami Sound Machine, LL Cool J, Patti Labelle, Fruit of the Loom, EWF, Brandy, Brittney Spears, and everyone else who's songs were played that night.

This is not true.
I was there and I have the tape. Steve Harvey clowned PV's drumline at the comedy show because they were making noise off stage. I am not going to type out what he said because it contains profanity and I have better things to do with my time. And that was last year. Will this ever end?

PV had the better show..case closed....they had less down time...GSU's transitions were horrible...

incorporating the ballad and the bad closing to the show (director routine which was a yawner we saw on NATIONAL TV 2 weeks ago) was the clincher.

If GSU got house for the t-shirts, trust me, they would've rubbed it in PV's face also
