Hell no he's not the best choice but if recent years are an indication; it hasn't taken much effort on PV's part to have the top athletic department in the SWAC. What this hire was about for me was a chance to find someone (with experience and contacts) to make PV one of the best as far as FCS schools are a concerned. I'm not sure staying on auto-pilot gets us there.

Exactly my thoughts. We had the chance to begin to move up the ladder in the State of Texas. Don't think this hire quite does that. We will probably stay at or near the top of this back-assward conference, but we've been doing that with a frickin part-time AD.......so, it is what it is.......
