PV and TSU should throw a Louisiana special

Just left the Touch down luncheon. Mr. MCClellan is trying to convince Mr. Blackwell to do the right thing.

Like all the other things that are going on in Houston and they are giving them free admission, why can't this be the same.

It's a no brainer......

UH is getting national attention for giving away free tickets for their game Thursday and they are also giving the first 2,000 of them Red Shirts to support their team by wearing their school colors.

Hurricane Katrina Relief Efforts

Texas Southern University is opening its doors to help bring comfort and relief to college students from Louisiana who were affected by Hurricane Katrina.

Here's a look at other efforts the University is undertaking to help the displaced students:

What about the folks that are housed next door in the Astrodome? Most of them are not in college.

Why the stipulation of College Students & their families?

No one else is putting any stipulations besides being from Louisiana, Mississippi & Alabama.

SMH......

  :read:

I sure hope this doesn't make anyone mad but I told Fiyah that I was going to bite my tongue but I cannot hold it anymore.... I totally agree with him about this one..... sure I would like to know what PV is doing as well but I think (IN MY OPINION) that TSU is so concerned with selling tickets rather than giving these people something to enjoy..... All you keep hearing is how they are 10,000 more sold than this time last year..... This sound like to me that they are trying to save those seats thinking they would possibly fillup Reliant stadium and it is not going to happen.... Only college students and their families...... Ok most kids were in school and probaly don't know where there families are at this point so why can they only get in for FREE????? NOT RIGHT but we have to agree to disagree!!!!!!!!! I'm sorry that is not going to cut it..... :( :( :(
NO SMACK INTENDED

But I do think that with a little pressure up under them this will change to anyone from LA can go........

I like what TSU is doing in accepting the students from Louisiana. But I am with Fiyah on the football game.

When I think about the logistics requried to query who's got valid La/Ms/Al licenses/proof of residency there, etc... I see some vagabonds :retard: from H-Town trying to capitalize. :|

lol I'm rethinking my position on this matter. Maybe Blackwell et al are in the know and we all really don't know.

I'll let this be.
