Police: 50 killed in Florida nightclub terror attack

Reading some of the comments posted here I can't help but shake my head.

I have Muslims friends whose families have been Muslims for thousands of years. They are U.S. citizens and doing very well. One couple is white as snow. To give you an example of how many muslim friends I have at my wedding reception we are not having pork out of respect.

To hear people ESPECIALLY black people state that we should stop all Muslims from coming to this country bothers me.

My father said it 30 years ago that the U.S. will become more violent or as violent as Great Britain when they were/are dealing with the Irish Republican Army.

Now what I am angry at is the differences in labeling this one a terrorist attack and the South Carolina event a hate crime. We have domestic terrorist as well.

Hey man, you know this is the Deep South you're talking about. People- regardless of their race- don't think favorably of others who don't look, act and/ or worship like them. It's visceral.

Mateen’s wife claims he was not religious. So why are we calling him a Muslim? Because he called 911 and said he pledge allegiance to ISIS? I have my doubts about that. Where is the tape where he said that?

There are few things about all this that I find puzzling. How was Mateen able to get in that club in the first place? There was a uniformed arm off-duty police officer at the front door. But he was able to just walk in through the front door with a AR-15 rifle, a bomb, a hand gun, enough rounds to kill 50 and injure 53 but still have enough rounds to have a shoot-out with multiple police officers for 3 or 4 hours? That’s a serious breakdown in security.

You can hide a AR-15 under coat blazer if done correctly. Also the way it attaches to your body if concealed well.

Another thing is when alcohol is in a person's system they bleed out faster. Given the type of ammo used in a AR-15 one shit one kill....Also if he did not have it on full automatic he could gauge his shots especially if the cop was trying to move people out of the way. Basically this guy was using people as a human shield against the cop.

Must be 2 sides

I think there were more gunman, has to be,

Yes, one of my theories I think the cops shot some of those people as a result of friendly fire and they are putting the blame on the dead man. But that just me saying that.
Very likely. But even in that case the blame for all innocent lives usually goes to the gunman

Don't care what type of attack it was ... he's a killer and we have to better gun laws, period. And seriously, how does this man get into that club with that sh-t?

No pat downs, no nothing?

I will play the other side and ask, These things been happening, why folks wanna tighten up gun laws now all of a sudden?

I think he walked right inside the club to be honest, but that's a good question, where were the bouncers?

Also, this is Orlando in June. Everybody else had on tank tops, shorts, and flip flops. So did this dude have on a coat or something? You have to put the ammo somewhere.

Never thought about that.

Are there cameras showing dude in the club?

And why hasn't the 911 tape come out, "They" normally don't take this long to release the 911 tape.

He called 911 and said he was IsIs.

Hell the Harambee 911 tape was released ASAP, along with the Trayvon 911 call

Bruh you can have a modified AR-15 clip with 30 rounds in it. That clips looks like a 15 round clip.

Here is a AR-15 without certain parts for hidden carry.

That wouldn't have happened in the ghetto. Dude would've been put down in seconds cause folks usually have the weapons to fire back. He wouldn't have had time to shoot 50 people, much less 100 plus.

I'm sorry but I'm with the republicans when they say keep these Muslims out of this country. Yeah, yeah I know all of them aren't like that, but the reality of it is even if its 1 out of a 1000 that's one to many.
How did he get near a club with that much weaponry and security not notice it? Security must not have been packing or weren't paying attention.

Dude was on a terror watch list and was allowed to legally purchase these guns. Yes the laws need to at least prohibit those who are on watch lists like this from purchasing guns.

Exactly. With a crowd THAT large, you usually have five to ten people checking folks. Something sounds real fishy.
And one witness said that someone was holding the door shut and not letting anybody get out. Wonder what that was about.

My son asked the same question. How did he even enter the club carrying the weapons he had?

I have a friend (Colombian) who is on the terror watch list. That list is nothing more than names on a piece of paper. If he was on the terror watch list how did he get the job he had and the training to use the weapons he purchased/had access to?

Well, if the Bushes hadn't gone into Iraq with that weapons of mass destruction lie, we wouldn't be having this backlash. We interfere with folks and blow up their people and not expect repercussions? I'm just saying.

Don't let the media spin this, white supremacy has a way of telling their "stories"

But US history, I read that.

East St. Louis Massacre (1917) 200-700 deaths
Arkansas Massacre (1919) 854 deaths
Tulsa (1921) 300-3000 deaths
Rosewood Massacre ((1923) 150 deaths

Black folks

and many others as I mentioned Memphis. Again R.I.P. but just look at the how they hype this up...on 24/7 smh
and for those who may say 9/11, please understand and read, that wasn't done by Muslims Lol.
It's time to wake up....

This is going to push for more gay laws and stricter gun control, when this shss been going on (as mentioned above)

They can push all they want, but there is already a hate crime law, which covers almost everyone under the sun including gays and lesbians, so what other laws can they push, more protections? Harsher penalties? I don't see that happening.
As for gun control, that's not going to happen either. There are laws that "imply" a person is prohibited from illegally bringing a firearm into a bar or similar place that serves alcohol so stricter gun control. But once again, gun laws have no meaning when it comes to criminals or those meaning to do harm.
Also I'm glad some of yall are question the whole terrorism idea they are trying to push. I asked myself the same question, where is the 911 tape, and the media is also saying that ISIS is taking credit for this, but a few weeks ago there was another shooting where the shooter claimed ISIS and ISIS supposedly did not take any credit for it.

Also there's this:

Not sure but dude was interviewed by the FBI 2 or 3 times.
