Podcast: Alcorn’s weak 2020 football schedule & the SWAC’s D2 scheduling strategy

GSU, SU, Alcorn would get tore tf up by majority of those schools. Most of those schools would be FBS right now if they met requirements. The SWAC has to get back serious and play ball. We have so much to improve on. Hell NDSU the past 8 seasons record is 97-8 and they are 12-0 right now. We should be beating these schools ass. We are doing something completely wrong.

When you use NDSU as an example you lose. NDSU is a FBS programs masquerading as a FCS program and scared to make the jump to FBS. They have around a $30 million athletic budget and don't have any FBS schools in the state (only fellow FCS North Dakota). Yes they have invested in their coaching stadium and program but they also don't have to worry about red state governments slashing your budgets while funneling money to big state U(s).

Don't forget some of their boosters made come-ups due to the oil boom in that region, pumping even more money into the program. NDSU basically has a Sun Belt, C-USA budget.

I didn't even wanna bring up any of that because it was obvious. People don't understand how much they've benefited from the fracking boom in that part of the country. And as previously mentioned, no FBS schools in the state (Minnesota really being their closest competition as far as FBS/P5 competition)

Every school in the fcs can be beat. North Dakota st should have lost to South Dakota st. We as conference have to play better in these games. If Felix Harper would have started that game against McNeese st. They would have lost that game by at least 14 points
