Okay this one here is a major pet peeve for me. We had this discussion in SistahTalk! about children talking/walking/crying/misbehaving in church. I HATE IT! :slap:
When my child was young, and I didn't have a sitter, I DIDN'T GO! That's part of good parenting, sacrificing your wants, needs and desires. So DNice I don't understand that parents need to get out...when I didn't have a sitter, I stayed home with my baby.
If I walk into the theatre and I see a baby, or if someone comes in with a baby, I get up and go to the manager IMMEDIATELY and say, if that dayum child talks/cries WHATEVER, you go and ask those parents to leave immediately or I want to be refunded my money back or free tickets for another show. I DO NOT WANT MY MOVIE EXPERIENCE RUIN BY A DAYUM CHILD! Stay home dammit.
In fact the whole thing about bringing children to adult activities boogles my mind. My friend bought her 8 year old daughter to a wedding shower!! A WEDDING SHOWER! :retard:I was serving up drinks and we were having adult conversation with 30 women and here she comes with this child. Of course it chilled the conversation! I called her in kitchen and told her she had to leave and take the child with her and she became angry. I told her that we couldn't enjoy ourselves with that little girl looking up in our mouths and that it is highly inappropriate for her to be there. The invitation was for her, not she and her child. She left in a huff and then we got back to having fun!
That really burns me up! Children should not go to the movie, showers, or any activity where they are not invited and there will be adult conversation. And they need to be removed from church IMMEDIATELY if they are crying, screaming, talking out loud.
That's another pet peeve! :argue2:

J4J said:Y'all would hate me because I take my child everywhere I go UNLESS it is an occasion specifically designed for adults...
As for the movies, I don't give a rat's azz what nobody thinks about me and my chap...Out of respect I would not bring her but I find that if a person (in my case at the movies) has an issue with something I am doing, they can address me respectfully. In my case, the stringy haired white dude yelled at us...It was on then....I had no intention of leaving or moving. Not when we had sat in there so long and nobody complained. The people right next to us who SHOULD have heard her low humming, said they did not hear her. So for him to yell, I didn't care if we tore up that damn AMC 30....Act a ass with me in public, see what happens. Otherwise, my child goes where I go.
If people do not want children at weddings, receptions etc, I respect that. We don't go. Or I find a sitter. I don't find that I am inconsiderate. I find that I am caring for my child and not leaving her on others....so bump dat **** about staying home! :argue:
J4J said:Now, kick my the back of my chair in a movie, WATCH HORNS GROWN FROM MY HEAD!
So I always try to sit at the top row where there are no chairs behind me. I don't like folks feet on my chair! I went to watch Hurricane alone one time. This woman continually bumped my chair. First time, I ignored it. Second time, I asked if she could watch her feet. 3rd and 4th time, the entire movie theater knew she had bumped my feet. She told me to relax it was an accident. I said, "SEE IF IT IS AN ACCIDENT WHEN I FLIP YOUR AZZ ON THIS FLO........." It got really quiet and she did not touch my seat again.
From then on, I get there early so I can sit where there is no row behind me.
BluBlood said:That's a @#$^%&* shame! Wondering why the "accident" didn't occur after you went ethnic on her @$$. I'm the same way at the movies. Your feet on my chair, I will politely ask you to move them. You want to talk or carry a conversatoin on your cell, I will politely tell you to !

It pisses me off when I'm out of vodka, but I didn't drink it all.
I hate always having to FIND isht, because mofos don't like LOOKING. I do believe I am the ONLY person in my house with the ability to LOOK for something.
Why do people always preface foolishNESS with, "I ain't trying to start no mess, BUT ..."BYTCH, yestf you ARE trying to start MESS ... take that shat elsewhere?
It irritates me that people think I should make all the stupid requests I possibly can in my building, just because I have a good relationship with my principal.
Um, if you think my opinion might piss you off, then DON'T ASK IT OF ME! :redhot:
Vinita said:Additionally, hearing, "What do you mean?" makes me wanna pop a mofo in the mouth.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN, you can't find them?"
"It's over."
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN, it's over?"
"I think I'm pregnant."
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN, you think you're pregnant?"
"I got a speeding ticket today."
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN, you got a ticket?"
Any more questions Ms Lady?

DAMN! I mean wtf I said!!![]()
D-NICE said:Spots, I said I understood not agreed. But I agree with your statements. :wavey:
J4J, if there's one thing that gets me more p'd off in a theater other than some muthaphugga wanting me to move over to the next seat, or a crying child, is somebody kicking my seat.
If you want to see me act an arse, kick my seat after I ask you not to do it. That's part of the reason I don't like kids sitting behind me, because of all of that bottled up energy they have, sooner or later they will have to do something.
NICE
I'd have paid to see that. :emlaugh: :emlaugh:D-NICE said:I said OK, not your kid, but let another muthaphuggin kernel hit me, and watch what happens to the kid behind me. If you won't handle it, I will. Needless to say, no more popcorn came flying over the seat,
