Penn State ban is OVER. NCAA punked!

I agree.

But an argument could be made that by not turning in Sandusky for his crimes, Penn State was granted the services of a top assistant, which definitely impacts a program.

They did worse than than that by covering it up. The point you all KEEP missing is that they violated the NCAA ethics clause. You can violate NCAA rules in more ways than to get an advantage on the field.

Also, as far as wins and losses go. Had it been found out that they were covering it up, they would have run Paterno and his whole staff out of there.... JoePa was Penn State football and that was an advantage they didn't want to lose. That is why they back-dated those wins of his.

See I think he deserves it. I think he is a punk for hitting her. I hope he goes to jail and get kicked to sleep. I just don't like how no one sees what she did is wrong.

And the cover up extended from the head coach, to the athletic director, to the university president, all so that football program can continue on. Complete lack of ethics and control. Their arses still need to be banned.

Those folks are being punished MH. Not like they are not. Those were individuals who decided to conspire. One is dead. The perp is in jail. Some others are about to stand trial to see if they go to jail. If anything needed to happen to the school it should have been from the Feds or State.

What Sandusky did was horrific and what the people who could have stopped it did was horrific. All are getting their's now. Joe Pa went on to see the ultimate Judge and Jury. This was CRIMINAL all the way. That football program was going to survive anyway. Look at how it has done with the worst of penalties. They still sell out. They still make money and they didn't go 3-9 or some super bad record even after the NCAA did the sanctions. The NCAA just wanted to jump on the bandwagon of public opinion. Them bastards probably had heard about Sandusky them damn selves.

If anybody failed was the Law enforcement folks for not doing a good investigation into the allegations years ago. They seemingly will go unpunished. No way they didn't stumble across something. I still say the Feds should have gotten involved. But that was me. The NCAA should have shut the fugg up because they crossed the line. If they did an investigation and found out something criminal then they should have turned it over to the State of PA or FBI themselves. But no, they want to come after the fact and act like they the damn hammer. Now they are backtracking because they know they fugged up.

What about the police department and DA? Some of the parents actually reported the abuse to the cops.
 



Found an interesting note about PSU football. Since the NCAA handed down its punishment in 2012, they have won more games than Michigan and Wisconsin. And they have one fewer loss than Michigan State and Nebraska.

They hired the right coach and when you are in this area, Penn State is ALL you want to play for. Penn State was STILL Penn State. The university and fans never stopped their support of the program. ..and almost every High School in PA, NJ, East OH, NJ, and DE have some Penn State influence.
