Hey people I am about to get a ibook and I want to know if there is some type of software that I can use to trf my information from my Desktop ( Dell) to my Mac???
 
It is really quite simple. I switched from a Dell desktop to an iBook last fall. If you are merely transferring Word docs, PPT files, or Excel files you can easily save them to a CD/pen drive/Zip disk. Then copy them over to your iBook. Apple has a page set up which guides you through it:

If you want software there's Move2Mac. Personally, I just saved mine to a CD.
