Paul comes under fire for comments about the Civil Rights Act

They so tickled with themselves, all the closed doors are swinging wide open these days.
He said what he meant.

Man we as citizens of this country are in trouble. See, now that Obama made it to the top, these good ole boys are trying to make sure that the doors get tougher to open. The problem is you now have the dems who are scared of loosing their seats, so they are scared to support Obama. You got the repubs who are scared of the tea party so they want speak out or do the right thing. Then you got the foolish tea party who doesn't have a clue and are to busy trying to push a hidden agenda they are killing the repub party. We are in trouble.

Dems have always been PC and weak spined as a whole and the REPUBS bought their shat on themselves by cozing up to the lunatics that make up the TEA Party and Far right all these years.

Tea Party leader: Muslims worship "the terrorists' monkey god"

Days after writing that Muslims worship "the terrorists' monkey god," embattled Tea Party leader Mark Williams apologized for his insensitivity - to Hindus.

"In the course of the article I described the 'god' worshiped by terrorists as 'a monkey god.' I was wrong and that was offensive. I owe an apology to millions of Hindus who worship Lord Hanuman, an actual Monkey God," Williams wrote Wednesday night.

He's a Libertarian in the Barry Goldwater mode. Remember the 1964 presidential election. Goldwater only carried the deep south and AZ in the LBJ landslide. Goldwater later admitted he made a mistake in opposing the 1964 Civil Rights Act (14th amendment).

The Repubs have to decide whether they're Republicans or Libertarians. The Tea Party movement was started by Ron Paul and the Libertarians. It was hi-jacked by Dick Armey and Grover Northquist and the anti-taxers. They opposed all government programs. I believe Rand Paul will lose the safe KY senate seat if he sticks to his belief system.

JC he is a libertarian, but the media has FAILED to educate the public on what that means - no medicare, no medicad, no social security - no interstate highway systems (its up to each state to have highways - if they connect to the next state or not its not the job of the federal government) and more - the ONLY job of the federal government is the military.

People don't listen to what's been said - when tea party and others talk about bringing back the good old days - be careful of what you support - remember the 50s was not so good for non white people. It like when Whoopi asked McCain when he talked about the supporting the Constitution that was created by the founders of this country - Go back and read the document. see how we were defined.

Paul just showed why the Libertarian way is too strict to be practical in use. I understand what he was saying but the news media has managed to make him look like a bigot.

He made himself look like a bigot, that show was done live not edited and like someone said, he said what he meant and in typical repub....err libertarian fashion now he doesn't want to be held accountable for it.

I keep syaing it.
I LOVE THE TEA PARTY, SARAH PALIN, AND ALL THAT GO WITH IT.

All these fools are so wrapped up in their fire and brimestone, they can't help but fugg up by speaking their true mind trying to cater to their idiot followers.

Just like last time, in a NATIONAL ELECTION, nobody is going to vote these fools in.

Rand Paul will finally help people see the truth behind strict Libertarians. They pretty much equate the laws of market forces to the laws of physics. They ignore the fact that on average we only look a basic physics and ignore how the laws break down under various conditions. In turn they look at basic market forces and ignore how they break down once companies grow beyond small to medium sized. Once companies grow to large and global sizes they have the power to manipulate just about every aspect of the market and the whole thing breaks down. They won't believe this and admit that at this level you need a policing entity aka the government. I'm waiting for one of them to explain how market forces would have prevented or will stop this leak in the gulf. And who protects all the gulf coast small businesses from BP?

Thank you. The media has failed miserably. This is a case where the son is a lot like the father.
