This is wrong on so many levels......Didn't the man just lose his wife? And some idiots go and pull some shat like this.......:shame:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lyub33_PMOI

my homegirl just sent me this clip of gsu back in spr 04 when they performed for the colorado crush; this is the type of gram i grew up on; now they put on an entertaining show; it seems when they are smaller they sound better; seems like they got alot of hornholders and garbage type folk in their band and pannell just let them stay there; that is a problem

I will say this........ I have been to the last 3 GSU Homecomings....even played in the alumni band in 07. I don't see the same energy now that the students in the band use to have. Simple things like marching that mile from the band room to the practice field had us hype. I not gonna get into a whole bunch on here because I don't have the time nor energy but I will say it is time for a change. Does it mean leadership....I'm not sure....a reinvention....who knows.....but the band cannot continue on the path it is on. I have yet to see the PV game performance but I have not been too thrilled at what I have seen and heard so far.

Also....this isn't the first time something like this has happened at GSU. The last time.....it was all over the news.

What does this thread have to do with PV again?

Don't get me wrong, we have impossibly high standards for our own band, but when the band failed produce, yeah...alumni and fans would say a thing or two, but you NEVER saw anything like THIS from the PV camp. This is simply embarrassing! :retard:

Now can we get back to talking about GSU and how these measures are completely uncalled for?

I think he was saying that he hasn't seen the performance of GSU from the game they played against PV.

RIF

He wasn't clowning PV band. Calm down...

Why?

This is no different than when people start those type of things for their schools coach.

Then how about moving it to the GSU forum! Even when it's a post about a coach it shouldn't be made a public spectacle! That is an issue that is with the GSU community not for public opinion! And when it is about a coach and a website is put up the same goes for that. A week ago there was something about Valley's coach and that fall under the same category!

True, but this is harsh. And just because it was "acceptable" then, doesn't have to make it OK now... But do as you wish, Mr. Administrator. :)

I agree.

Yall talk'n about "where" it's posted. But, it's ON THE INTERNET... What good does it do to put it in a private forum?...:retard:

And, another thing....that website ain't about "what happened to his wife", so get off that. From what I can tell...it's about the horrible job he's doing at Grum and nothing else. If it were about any/everything outside of his job...then, I'd understand the beef with posting it.

I have to admit that I am somewhat surprised by the responses. Although I agree that the website is a bit much......it's really no different when you make your "jokes" about the band and some of those are much worse.

And thanks PsychoJag and others for clearing that up. I have yet to see PV perform this year to say anything about them.

Those "jokes" are warrented by those performances...
But this website is total disrespect to Pannell... Ain't nothing is WORSE than that...

JSU Alumni were made similar comments about Liddell when he was JSU's band director.

And just who exactly is responsible for those performances........who is the one that has the final say?

You can't have it both ways.

Granted.....every band is gonna have that one game during a season where everything didn't come together as practiced but even from your own mouth you have said that GSU hasn't been up to par for years now. You've talked about how things are and are not done at GSU compared to SU......about how Dr. Greggs would have never allowed some of the things you see at GSU to comeout of the SU bandroom.

Apparently...those "jokes" have pissed someone off. Someone could view them as a total disrespect to the organization. It just seems a little hypocritical for yall now to say what's warrented and what's not. The same things that warrent you may warrent the creator of the site.

So again.....my question to you is..........who is responsible.......the students or the band director?

Hypothetically speaking ...in High school most of the time its the students...in college it's the band director. Reason being in high school, you have kids with all of these distraction and ish(parents mainly trippin), But in college, them iggas on scholarship and they have to adhere to what is coming from the top(HBD) so if garbage is coming from the head...ish is coming out of the arse.
