Packers vs. Seahawks

JaguarNation99

That's Dr. JN99 to you...
Well I guess we can officially say that the replacement refs literally cost a team a game. I give the Packers credit for actually coming back out for that sham of an extra point. :(

Correct me if I am wrong. Did the Black official get the call correct with an interception call? Anyway, I wonder how embarrassed Goodell and the owners are. (Yes, I said it.) They should be, but understand that we are talking about people with huge egos.

When Greg Jennings catch was initially called a touchdown and reversed, he did get a first down. Green Bay got robbed on that play.

I was going to talk about how North Carolina State probably wished it kept Russell Wilson for his senior year. Well, needless to say I am talking about something else.

But if Jennings would have knocked the ball down the way he was suppose to instead of trying to catch it in a crowd this never would have happened.

The refs did miss the offensive pass interference (that's usually never called in this instance anyway).

lol I bet T- Jack is somewhere like, "What the F*CK, I throw a last minute INT in I loose, and I Suck... Wilson throws a Game Ending INT in Wins the Dang Game and is the Hero...." lol

Dude, take the T-Jack hate somewhere else. He doesn't even have anything to do with this topic.

As a Bears fan, i am glad the Packers lost. But as a fan of the league, that was not a touchdown.

Sunday a Titans defender tries to knock the ball down at the end of their game with the Lions and tipped it right into the hands of Titus Young who scored the game tying touchdown.

The Bears lost a game last season to the Chiefs when Major Wright batted the ball into the hands of a KC WR. Jacksonville won a game when a defender on the opposing player batted a hailmary pass into the hands of a receiver,

But the notion that a defender should knock the ball on a hailmary is wrong. If you can catch it, catch it.

#43 ties up catches the ball
Comes down in his backside
TATE reaches in and gets some of the ball
If that black ref had made a definitive interception call he would have been right
but the white ref came in and saw tate with some if the ball while on the ground and called it a TD.
now that was some bull.
the replay officials should have overturned that but I guess they didn't have the view I had.

:shame:

Once again, y'all show that you know nothing about football.

A tie goes to the offense. That was a touchdown. They made the right call.

Just as y'all say it was not a clear catch, it was not a clear interception either.

Golden Tate did the right thing by tying it up. Just like a tied up ball is a jump ball and goes to the team with possession arrow in basketball (or they actually jump it), a tie in football goes to the offense. Those are the rules.

In this case, the refs made the right call and that was a touchdown.

Dude, you should be a replay official.:smh: You're the only one claiming that was a legitimate TD or maybe you're just crying for attention.

I have no problem being the only one right. That's often the case.

I don't follow the crowd, in case you didn't notice. Especially when they are wrong.

:)

You're right. But it was NEVER a tie. Tate never had the ball. He stuck his hand in there (as he should have), but that doesnt mean he caught the ball, possessed the ball, or controlled the ball. He didn't. Jennings did. Even had two hands on it.

Just as y'all say it was not a clear catch
who is saying it was not a clear catch. cause it was.

Disagree.

Y'all act like you've never seen a WR grab a ball with one hand (or even catch it with one hand) and bring it to the other hand. It happens all the time and is ruled a catch, as it should be. This garbage about having two hands on the ball vs. one hand on the ball is just that ... garbage.

The bottom line is that the ref saw they were both were fighting for possession of the ball and ruled it correctly. Simultaneous catch. Touchdown.

The people in the replay booth must have thought it was a simultaneous catch too because they upheld it.

The replacement refs are easy targets because people assume that whatever decision they make must be wrong. The regular officials probably would have made same call on the field because the only way you could tell who had two hands first and all of that is on slo-mo. Whether that would be enough to overturn the ruling on the field, we'll never know but history suggests the ruling on the field would stand.

Simultaneous catch. Touchdown.

ESPN is dramatizing this because it gives them something to talk about and makes them money. You can't rely on what those talking heads say.

Simultaneous catch is when both players gain possession at the same time. When one player gains possession first, then another player gains joint possession after that, that is NOT a simultaneous catch. If the play is ruled a touchdown on the field, the replay can't overturn who has possession of the ball. Read the rule book bro. Packers got robbed, and I can't stand the Packers.

So it's obvious that you didn't see the interception, I guess you didn't see the pass interference on that play also? Is everybody else wrong on that too?

I have read the rule book and I've reviewed the play several times.

Let me ask you a question? When is a catch a catch? In the air or once they hit the ground?

I saw a play this weekend. The pass was thrown high. The WR went high to catch the ball ... with both hands. The DB knocked the ball out of his hands before he hit the ground. The pass was ruled incomplete. That's the correct call. Right?

What y'all are so hung up on is the Green Bay DB going up grab the ball. That's not a legal catch until he hits the ground. And by that time, both players were fighting for the ball.

Simultaneous catch. Touchdown.

Golden Tate didn't have possession when they hit the ground. He had one arm in there and the other wrapped around that CB for the Packers. By the time the refs got over there, he had a little better handle on the ball. One ref called it a touchback, and the other called it a TD. Regardless of the catch, he clearly pushed off, which should've been offensive pass interference with 0:00 left on the clock, at which point the game would've been over. The Packers got robbed.
