Our Coaching vs Other Coaching

Let's talk football:

This is what separates our sad ass coaches with the other coaches:

This is breaking down film from the inside mind of a Defensive Co.

SU comes out in a dayum Cover 3 defense on the 1st play of the game and gives up a 6 yard hitch. DBs playing 10 yards off the WR, even in the slot? WHYYY. TCU completes the hitch now it's 2nd & 3 or 2nd & 4.
Now TCU O.C. has the green light to either run or pass. He's pretty much in control. The D.C. is behind the chains already. TCU didn't even have to work for those 1st down yardage, an old lady could have played WR and caught that pass as much ground we gave that WR.

That's what I'm talking about, that one instance/situation makes a big ass difference. TCU O.C. can do whatever because we gave up 7 yards so dayum easily

In the second clip, UGA 1st play of the game. Bama's pressed up with 2 Safeties help. I mean SU can run the same defense as them right?, but notice the hidden agenda, The D.C. for Bama doesn't want UGA to gain sht, they want there offense to earn their yards. 7 yards in that game was like a dayum 1st down, especially if you got 7 yards on 1st down.

Now just off this 1 dayum play, I've broken down 4 to 6 elements that's so critical that our coaches don't even go over, how I know? The hell we in a Cover 3, on 1st down for? It's like "oh let's give them this and not the big play or some sht"

Those things are in the mind-set of the players, the bama players, the UGA players, they know giving up 7 yards on 1st down is a Hell NO. SU players in this example, can't do anything to stop that hitch. We don't know that giving the underneath sht is a HELL NO

Our coaches is giving up 7 yards at EASE, so what you're going to think how our players mindset will be "Just keep everything in front of you" mind-set that crap.

That's why I call our coaches trash. They not even thinking that deep. The players don't even think like that. The schemes are trash, they don't know when to use certain schemes etc.

In that 2nd clip, Do yall really think Nick Saban wants UGA in a 2nd and 3 or 2nd and 4 down situation? Hell No. Yall really think Nick Saban out here telling his D.C. to give up 7 yards on a hitch that easily?? Hell NO, so why the Hell Odums out here ok with that sht?? Because we accept that crap that's why. We're so use to this mediocre ass sht from our coaches. It's a reason that that coach from Alcorn so easily came and ran this conference

Do you really think Nick Saban wants to give up 7 yards easily on 1st down? Lol. Come on man.

The mindset of Nick is the mind-set of his players. His players know not to give up 7 yards that easily in their scheme that they have on 1st down.

As I stated, Nick or Kirby, can coach at Valley and I bet you, they not giving up 6 to 7 yards easily on 1st down like how SU did.

I love my school, but my dayum

NICK SENT A WHOLE BLITZ ON 1ST DOWN

You see how them dudes getting off blocks and flying around the ball, squaring up in the 2nd clip.

Smh,

Shit is night and day from SU clip and Bama's clip. Being labeled a 4 and 5 stars (on paper might I add) don't make you fly around the ball like that. Them kids on that Bama defense are just like those kids from SU, The stars by these kids names doesn't make them fly around the ball like that, the coaching and teaching does

That 1 play, SU vs Bama clip is like night and day

Nick Saban and all those coaches he likes would not even set foot on our campus to coach the majority of our athletes. Saban would quit the first week at Valley. LOL. The second month at SU.

Tonight's game:

Atlanta has three talented receivers.

Philly is playing five yards off the line. On all three receivers.

*shrugs*

They’re giving Quintorris that presidential coverage. That 4th down play call was horrendous.

Boy ppl love to ignore stuff that's putting ppl on blast

I get it, we don't want to talk about that sht.

But let's not act like this or that

Attitude and winning reflek leaduhship. Pernt. Blenk. It's coaching. "I can't get talent". Who did you recruit? How did you recruit them? "They don't respond to me." How did you approach coaching? What fundamentals did you stress? What fundamentals did you use film and drills on? "I don't have the money." Essentially college sports are insufficient consideration on the contract. I mean to be brutally honest, any swac coach could literally TAKE the game plan and pieces of the weight plan and practice ideas from the closest fbs winning school to them and win in their conference and play better in OOC and maybe eke a win from a lower tier school that is OOC. But let some people tell it "only uncle Toms say our coaches don't cut the mustard". He Edwards just won a big game with a whole Lotta offense. Herm "defense forever" Edwards. Quit the excuses.

Netflix dropped some Shaw Brothers kung-fu movies. I'm watching "Sword Masters: Two Champions of Shaolin" right now

Lol.

This is super funny. You know when you got negros on the ropes with no rebuttal when they start trying to deflect. Smh. Black ppl love to deflect when the truth is in their face.

Nobody but @SUJagFan and @lilC made an attempt to have dialog in the thread. Smh.

I know, I get it. Causal fans at best on here.

I'll keep my views on football to myself here on out.

Go Jags

Yall funny. Smh

Here is the thing. Folks have engaged with you in the threads you’ve created regarding your perpetual criticisms SWAC football coaching.

Maybe you’re not getting the responses you seek because you’ve made these same arguments and comparisons over and over and over again in threads you’ve started or participated in. We all know your position. And maybe ... just maybe folks have become tired and aren’t interested anymore.

Thank you for allowing me on the boards, I've been looking for a place to talk HBCU sports for a while. This is what I have been preaching for the longest, HBCU's don't have the coaching to compete with their peers. Special Teams are always an afterthought and in game adjustments are rare to see. Facilities are a hindrance for HBCUs on the recruiting trail but I feel like coaching is just as big an influence on where these kids go. I like what Howard did by bringing in London, a guy who had success at the FCS level before taking on a tough job in UVA. The underlying issue (imo) is that more often than not we are hiring a brother for the sake of having a brother as the HC rather than going after the best available candidate(s).
