Exactly. Don't get me wrong those players back in those era's were great but they had advantages as well. Just like when I hear folks talking about Babe Ruth would hit 80 homers now it makes no sense at all.
It is harder to hit that many homers now because a batter is facing three, four or five different pitchers during a game who all throw hard as hell armed with solid secondary pitches. When Ruth played, a starter would stay in the whole game regardless of how well he pitched during an outing. There was no just go 5, 6 or 7 inning back then.
