Oregon vs OSU

This is nothing new. Oregon's defense always generates a ton of turnovers. Without those drops they'd be up by a few scores.
Which ones did they cause tonight outside the one the WR fumble. Hell Ohio State would be up big if they held on to the ball.

This game is reminding me of the 1980 Rose Bowl, the season after Woody Hayes' last year. USC was the better team, but Ohio State kept the game close. Then on a late drive the Trojans ran the ball down the field and won the game. USC was the better team pound of pound in that game. Ohio State is the better team pound for pound tonight.

He should take a look at that. He is eligible. Just had a daughter too. Poor kid. He should see what the experts say.

I'm telling neither of the other two QB's would have beat Bama. His size and arm strength was the difference. Bama got there, just couldnt tackle dude.

Thing is Oregon ain't generating these turnovers. These are just bad breaks for Ohio State. Without the turnovers, this game would be 56-20.

I remember that game.

Now for the folks that think that Oregon would beat Bama. How would they stop Bama's rushing attack?

This is the OSU version of student body right, left, and up the middle.

Nick Saban is going to have to tweak his coaching philosophy a tad bit. Players like playing hard for Urban for some reason even though he is just as intense and competitive as Saban. Urban though knows when to be hard on the players and when to back off and let them be football players.

Saban on the other hand is constantly pushing his players with no compassion. Every little detail is not going to be 100% correct on Gameday. Saban is going to have to let his players breathe more throughout the season.

Example: just now Urban was hyping his team up. Players want to play hard for you that way.

Yeah Dan Mullen is from the Urban Meyer coaching tree.

I knew I heard of Jones before. Early on Pete was recruiting him real hard. It was only Toledo and SU at first.

I think you are right about that. Jones had to go to prep school for a year to get his grades right and weight down. Him and Keyshawn nephew #3. Folks thought Jones would fall into their lap. Tressel got to him late. We had fired Pete by time the kid made a decision though. Pete was trying to get on him before his Sr year.
