Only the Dems can snatch defeat from the jaws of Victory

One point on a line does not make Trend.

I hear what you guys are saying and I agree that he brought out the youth and black vote in the primary season. Thats one time, will it continue? I am looking at historic trends. Its good to see others on this board vote for the first time, I hope they continue.

Many political junkies like me will be watching.

Only need it to happen once more to win the presidency... well at least in most states since they have already held primaries.

Point well taken, a single DATA point is not convincing. However, it is an indication of an actual event. It is a historical fact that lends to a possibility. Let us as African Americans First have FAITH in our African American Voters. If we ride them (our voters) off as derelicts, we are as those we resent for always showing a negative bias toward Our community and Us ( i.e. we are the Prejudice we Reject).

In the end you may be right; If you are right, you have only confirm your prejudice. I would instead wait and hope that we can maintained at least TWO data points on a chart. Sometime we need to look beyond statistical fact and Give Way to Hope. Hope is synonymous with FAITH (Hebrews 11:1), this is what most black youth and black America seems to have a lack of.

I believe the momentum will carry into general election. Obama has not only provided people in general a sense of HOPE, but he also made people feel that they have the power to change things, which is true democracy. The black vote Obama might lose is those very few self-proclaimed black leaders who still feel that the only way a black person can make it to the White House is through the back door of a white president..

I don't have any prejudice on this issue, just looking at historical trends.

Its not just black youth that dont vote, white youth are in the same boat.

Interesting!! Reality is, we are all prejudice to some degree. We judge things based on what we have observed or by association. If fact, we are encourage to do so; thus, the purpose of statistics. What statistics sometimes condemns are those fliers (those random points not on the line) that are subjected to the fate of the other points. When we make an assumption that blacks or youth voters will not show up for the General Election, only because they did not in the past, is Pre-Judging them.

If something will Fail, Failure is inevitable. If we have faith and extend Hope, Success is a possibility. Failure does not require support, it is self-supporting.

Now we can walk together...(I agree:clap:)

"Amos 3:3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed?"

I am watching trends, not making assumptions. There is a difference. I cant wait to see where the trend will go, if they do vote for him in the fall, will they remain active in politics? If those two groups remain active in politics, it will change the political conversation.

I strongly disagree on your judging statement, but I will let it rest. :swink:

India Arie (Video lyrics) say it best for me:"this is all my opinion ain't nothing that I'm sayin law, This is a true confession of a life learned lesson I was sent here to share with y'all"

Thanks for the dialogue my friend. Get your rest but don't forget to Vote in November.

FYI: We must BE the change we Wish to see in others.

Good day and God Bless
