I bought it a couple of days ago, and I've been playing it over and over.

Has anybody noticed that several cuts on this CD has a real 1960s-era feel to it? That's HOT! :tup:
 
John Legend was an Directv FREE-VIEW all weekend.:)
They show an entire concert he did from London...........Bout 1 1/2 hours.
That mug is smooth.

R&B Artist John Legend: 'Once Again'


News & Notes, November 20, 2006 ? In 2003, John Legend was an independent songwriter, performing and distributing his music himself. A year later, he'd released back-to-back hits: "Ordinary People" and "Used To Love U." His debut CD, Get Lifted, garnered him three Grammys. Legend gives Farai Chideya a tour of his latest CD, Once Again.

BTW,

Did anyone see the birthday tribute to Tony Bennett on NBC last night? I want the cd and dvd from that show! Man, that was nice. Legend reminds me of that genre of vocalists (the 60's, Rat Pack,) a MATURE vocal talent in the midst of all the ranting and yapping of hip-hoppers.

That duet he sang with Bennett, "Sing You Sinners," was smooth!!!

I won't say it sucks but I do understand what you stated above about the production.

On his 1st he did a good job of staying young, but mixing in old school with his style.

To me, he sounded a little too old on this album. It needs some youth in it.

But Save Room & Doing it Again is mad sick. Classic joints right there.

Hmmm,...I can't see that but he reminds me of a Stevie Wonder/ Donny Hathaway type.
I got a live CD he did. My only problem was that the piano he was playing on sucked. Get on a Steinway or Baldwin. I don't want to hear clang clang all through the song.

Has anyone heard his song called "Cheating"? :tup:

Style of music, yes. As far as voice, HELL NO!!!
 
Some kids are always bringing me new artist to listen to. They brought me this John Legend's Live Cd and they gave me this other guy who to me has music better than Legend's. When I find out exactly who this guy is,...I will post some of his clips.
