I don't remember anyone on here talking about LBJ's hair either. But around the Internets and on TNT's Inside the NBA, there has been much discussion.
But, I finally got to the bottom of how this whole Gabby Douglas hair thing blew up. Apparently a chick who runs a blog called Sporty Afros wrote a long piece defending Gabby Douglas based off three comments found on her Twitter timeline about the girl's hair.
Here are the three comments:
She needs some gel and a brush…
Someone needs to give her a hair intervention…
She has to “represent”…
That piece was picked up by Jezebel, who then wrote a similar piece defending Gabby Douglas' hair after sifting through Facebook and Twitter looking for negative comments. And then everybody else jumped on board, and caused one of the stupidest controversies in the history of controversies all because one person felt the need to write a 1,000 word blog post in response to what three people said on Twitter about a 16-year-old girl's hair.
Man I swear, yall ain't got no hood in yall. This is how it goes. No drama, no hood.
Why y'all ninja's up in here TALKING and RESPONDING about women shat then? What that mean? Huh? Riiiiggghttt....**adding negrews I need to add to my Beat that Azz List** when I meet them in person...
I never heard that either. This is why women shouldn't watch sports brother. Emotionally, they not cut out for it.
Really?
I think is probably safe to assume the old US of A is happy that WOMEN participate in sports. Medal Count Send HELP Fast.
except for you Sorror and Vanita :scared:
Sperm was probably the one running that blog that Kendrick was talking about, mad cause he couldn't make any money off of sending Gabby to college somewhere.
I want Gabby to stay in a child's place and not try to comment on her mom's bankruptcy or her dad. It seems like her mother hasn't told her to use two words "No Comment".
You know in your heart that Gabby Douglas is the most amazing high-flying hero Olympic gymnastics champion, maybe ever. But you need to understand it with your head, too, with a rational and objective analysis of her talent through GIFs. What if you got into a bar argument with a disappointed Russian? You'd need more than chants of U-S-A, U-S-A. You'd need facts.
Unlike the gymnastics team final, the all-around final really was as close as NBC's prime time coverage made it seem. Russia's Viktoria Komova had outscored Douglas in prelims. Both Douglas and Komova perform some of the most difficult tricks, and they both do them with the perfect body position that makes for pleasing geometry in the air. What Douglas has on Komova is an incredible athleticism that makes her skills go higher and just look bigger.
