TP, Jenkins loaded up during the mid year signing period. He brought in over 20 new players including 5 from prep schools and the rest from JUCOs and FBS schools. He has a plethora of redshirted and players sitting out from last season. We're looking at a complete revamping of personnel. At least we have spring training to figure things out. The Hornets have improved their overall athleticism with speed, size and skill. If Jenkins 1st year was an indication of his coaching ability, I'll take it. His team improved every time they played. You should be worried. BTW, we're even more excited about the Feb signing class. We thought Barlow could recruit but this crew is more national.
People say this stuff EVERY year in the offseason and every year you still only get 2-3 good teams and the rest sucks. I don't see GSU doing anything this year. We do have to see what SU can do on defense and Haywood or not, nobody is concerned with TxSo. No one has even cared who he hired for assistants.. has he even hired assistants.. LOL People were tryna see everytime coach Tony Hughes farted lately. GSU will challenge PV for the WEST but then again, I used to think PV had a shot a few years prior and they flopped...LOL But right, now, no team in the WEST should be able to touch PV. Alcorn will be favored in the EAST but Alcorn is not the same team they were with Simmons and they lose a lot of key players. They won't beat JSU this year... Its gonna be a lot of mad Indians in MS. I am more interested in what Jenkins can do at BAMA State than what is going on at West schools. I want to see if Jenkins can coach without cheating. This is the SWAC and he will have a spotlight on him. We petty in these parts and I'm sure AAMU (and Josh Moon) gonna keep an eye out for whats going on in the Gump. If he can't cheat, I can't see him being as successful.
Dude you have said the same shit for the last 15 years and your school has won only one championship.
We just had a winning season with a new coaching staff that didn't even have spring practice. We struggled to open the season but obviously improved at the midway point. You should be more concerned about JSU.But he didn't do any better than Barlow. smh Your biggest problem is that you are Alabama State but again, if Jenkins can coach without cheating, we will see soon enough!
Sitting here at work with a Ole Miss Alum he said Kincaid couldn't hit the back of a barn and he's currently on crutches but good pick up.
Did your "co-worker" play ball? Did he PERSONALLY see Mr Kincade play ball @ SHS while he was sitting in the stands? Does he even KNOW what school district he graduated from, w/out having to look it up on the net? lmao!
SHS is the real deal. They are a historical (recent-type) state power. If a young man graduates and leaves that program w/ accolades, I can assure you, it's legit. I'm sure he'll do well @ GSU.
he is a duel threat Qb in a pro style/spread... Wasn't going to work with so many pro style QBs signingWell, he didn't do well at Ole Miss, so there goes your theory.

Saw on twitter that su has their oc... and oliver will coach secondary. What do you su people think about that?
Man, SWAC defenses ain't nowhere close to SEC defenses. With that being said, he could possibly be great at GSU.....who knows? I can promise you that it won't be the defenses that make him look bad.Actually if you would like to be technical with it I went to practices with this alum and seen Kincade for myself. He can throw the ball a country mile but can't hit the side of Gramblings stadium with the ball. He would be better served as a slot receiver or a Wildcat Qb maybe even a scat back but he's not a Qb to be excited about. Your talking about what he did in Hs while we are talking about what he did in College at Ole MISS which was absolutely nothing...
No thoughts on that (me personally)
Just win baby, Just win are my only thoughts
I couldn't care less if Lacumba was coaching, as long as we come out with the W
Whats your point?

Your expectations are just low....
Your colleague is being a little extreme. Kincaid was decent when he played, but he was not Chad Kelly or Ryan Buchanan. And now they have a 5-star freshman on campus. Kincaid didn't want to change positions....he'd be even further down the depth chart at WR or DB.
IMO, he is slightly better than Trae Rutland. Rutland took JSU to the SCG one year and to a 3-8 season the next lol, so who knows how things will work out for him at Grambling.
Who was Rutland's coach? Not meant as smack, but better coaching makes a difference. I think Gram has a very good offensive staff. That makes a huge difference with any player, especially qb.
Lol!!No thoughts on that (me personally)

Grambling loading up with transfers. Another transfer from Texas Tech, Free safety Derrick Dixon attended Skyline with Kincade.
These kids are talking (socially) and that is a GOOD thing, imho. Another great pickup, Tigers. I'd rather the talented young men (and women) land in the SWAC than elsewhere.![]()
