What this series performance did, and given the stakes and level of competition is likely the greatest finals performance in history, is raised his place in history. He absolutely staked a claim to best small forward/top 5 of all time. Given where his career is likely going to end up in terms of stats, accolades, and championships, GOAT is on the table. He maybe (probably) doesn't get all the way there, but he's put himself in a position to be in the conversation.

Tim Duncan isn't a guard or a foward so there's no comparison. Nor has he ever won any title with a group of average players or retired.

Your statement said "SINCE" . Since Jordan there was Kobe, like him or not he was the who Lebron generation look up to. Stop being a hater man we're talking facts here. Lol

Let me see if it can dissect this nonsensical word soup. The position played by a player (and Duncan was a forward most of his career) has nothing to do with who's better. Yes, my statement said "since," a word you seem to be struggling to understand. According to one Dr. Webster, since is defined as "from a definite past time until now." There is no intervening period. Whether Kobe came along in that period or whether LeBron looked up to him is irrelevant in terms of being better. LeBron is better than Kobe and ever other PLAYER who has come along SINCE Jordan. Full stop. Kobe's greatness isn't diminished by LeBron (and Duncan) being better no more than $1 billion stops being a lot of money just because $5 billion is a lot more.

I agree 100%. Kobe is nowhere near the complete player Lebron is. Lebron is better on defense, rebounding, and passing. The only thing Kobe has over Lebron is the ability to close. Name a player in any sport that had the pressure and expectations Lebron had on his shoulders. None.
