I like this one better!!

My team won on my birthday!! (yes I am also a Saints fan but I was a Steeler fan first)

:jump:

LOL @ Kendrick. But they gone say Holmes is from Florida so it don't count.

LeBeau is a Big 10 guy too. Albeit he played for Woody Hayes in the 50s.

Add Lamar Woodley and Larry Foote to that list. Heck even Steve Breston had a good game. The Big 10 represented.

Was Super Bowl XLIII ending better than Super Bowl XLII ending?

I think it might be a tie.

I like the last one better. Giants overcame the odds against a 18-0 Patriots team. Tyree's clutch catch and Eli's escape made it even more dramatic...

Can somebody please explain why that Kurt Warner fumble at the end was not reviewed? At minimum that play should have been reviewed. I man damn, I know the league wanted Pittsburgh to win, but don't make it that damn obvious.

Al Michaels said the booth did review it and determined Warner fumbled. That is why the refs on the field was not buzzed to stop play.

They reviewed it and called it a fumble...But the Steelers were getting a lot of calls in my opinion. I mean the league and the Steelers...SMH

I know I am going to get a lot of flack for this statement, but Big Ben and Kurt Warner proved that the QB is the most important player on the field in football.

Warner put together a HOF drive to take the lead. Then Ben comes back and tops it with a better one. Defense gives teams a chance to win. A big time QB wins Super Bowls.

A big time QB and big time receiver win SBs. That's why Holmes won MVP. Both Holmes and Fitzgerald caught short passes and turned them into big plays on those two drives you referring to. Big Ben played an average game. Just like he did in his first SB. And guess who won the MVP in that one, a receiver (Hines Ward).

Ben kept a lot of plays alive with his feet. On that last drive Pittsburgh was facing a 1st and 20, but Ben bought time and completed a pass to Holmes. On the TD to take the lead he pumped and rolled a little to find Holmes.

At one point in the 4th quarter, Warner completed 10 straight passes.

While the Steelers and Cardinals defenses gave their teams a chance to win, Warner and Ben HAD to make plays and throws to win the game.

Come on man. We got a lot of calls against us too. I felt it was much more fair than Super Bowl XL.

And you know who isn't happy right now-Some old white guy in Dallas that owns a "football" team in Dallas. Now the Boys can't brag about being tired for most Superbowl wins anymore.

All is GOOD in the world now!!!!

Most of the Steelers SB wins are tainted. There is always something fishy when the Steelers play in the SB.

Get out of here with that mess. They beat your Cowboys twice fair and square. They dominated the Vikings. They beat the Rams fair and square.

They beat the Seahawks and the Cardinals fair as well.

I know a Cowboys fan aint talking about calls. LOL. All the calls yall got in the 70s. Ask the Vikings about that push off Drew Pearson did in Minnesota in the 70s playoffs. That's why a fan hit the ref with a whisky bottle.

The only call I thought was suspect involved the roughing the passer penalty against Dansby.

Yep that was suspect. I thought he got there a little bit after Ben threw the ball but it wasn't roughing.

Ben was 21-30..........that was average?

The one int was a tipped ball.

He played way better than he did in his first SB. Hell he put the ball on the money all night. Made plays with his feet to get himself free to throw the ball. It aint pretty but he will kill you in the 4th qtr. Done it all year.

Not to mention L. Fitzgerald if from St. Paul Mn a Big 10 city. LOL. Remember you can't play if aint from down our way according to most of these SEC lovers.

A bunch of Ohio cats had a good game tonight. If you throw in Harrison and Big Ben.

Somebody please tell me why you think they gave this game to Pittsburgh. Send me a list of incidents because Arizona made some dumb penalties in that 3rd qtr but made two great defensive stands on that drive.
