:lmao: @ down the hall..
JSU works year around. We have symphonic band, concert band, orchestra, jazz bands I. and II. and percussion/woodwind ensembles.
And those who are on scholarships (which is usually majority of the band) are required to participate in either symphonic or concert band.
At the 'S', if you are on scholarship or not, if you plan on marching in the upcoming season, you BETTER be in an ensemble. They don't want any cloosed minded musicians.
So whose doin what now?! Concert, ensemble, pep band?!
Haymer is Down The Hall and Pep Band.
lol @ that too.
I tell you what..........SU Band program has shole had some interesting times over the years. We are definitely a unique and one of a kind program.
You know Jukes,we should go to the Nation forum, and take the Nation inside the JUKEBOX..Tell them some wild things that happen...Like we had a song on bus 2,called bus driver please..LOL
Still can hear him say " I wish I knew who said that, I would zip yo arse!"
LOL. You are right. You think that is bad.....when we were crabs we had a song for assistant dir. Chester White(rest his soul). It was the SU fight song modified for Mr. White. We would sing it on Bus 3(crab bus) and White would be
Ah the good ole days. I never rode Bus 2.....since I pledged KKPSI in the Spr after crabbing...I was on Bus 1(frat bus) with the black man for the rest of my years in the Juke.......now we got some stories for your arse on how we would mess with Doc on band trips.
Still can hear him say " I wish I knew who said that, I would zip yo arse!"
You're talking about the Jazz version of the fight song!!! Till this day that's a requirement to learn during crab week. I remember one time we had the whole student section singing it.
