Observation on how we as black folks approach race issues

My ex husband and I had this convo. We both realized that black folks like to talk about the issues versus taking actions.

What I mean is, white people see a black kid riding his 4 wheeler on the road...and they call swearing they are racing. Cops start patrolling. We see the white kid do the same thing, we cuss under our breath when we just avoid hitting them...but don't call.

I get that our history with cops is unstable...but now, I'm calling too. Fuck 'em. You breaking the law, I'm calling and having a damn fit about it also. They already gonna over police us, so like my mama used to say, leave a paper trail...simple, innocuous fun oftentimes = death sentence for our black people. Well, let's expand that pool...

So...are you a reporter or a complainer with an audience of 1?
