Obama says racism is not a big issue in America

Obama makes it very clear at the 2:00 mark why most Americans are upset with his policy. Race isn't even mentioned and he even made the statement that "ANYTIME" a president is proposing "BIG CHANGES" it gets "EVERYBODY'S" juices flowing. I'm glad Obama recognizes that just because people are against him and his policies, it doesn't mean they're all racist. Well done Mr. President!

and you're taking his word?

B/C according to Joe Wilson, Obama is a Liar!

So I dont know If he is telling the truth or not. :noidea:

Dude, your topic of this thread is misleading. Obama never said that racism is not a big issue in America. Until the color of a person's skin is no more significant than the color of their eyes, then racism will be a problem. He was talking about the racial issues concerning how people feel about him as President. Don't twist his words. Also, do you really think he'd come out and say the driving force around opposition to him is racism, whether it's true or not. You and I both know he can't come out and say that without taking an incredible amount of backlash, even if it was true.

Are you calling Obama a lie?

How is the topic of the thread misleading when it was white folks who put him in office? Was it not white folks who pumped hundreds of millions into his campaign? Was it not white folks who ran his campaign? How is the topic of the thread misleading, and how is race an issue in this country when more white folks voted for Obama than blacks?

Secondly, the interviewer made it clear the white house has "DISMISSED" those who say that racism is motivating the presidents opponents. Also, the interviewer made it clear that Obama doesn't see racism playing a role in why most are against him.

Do you lie in some of your postings on TSPN?

Have I ever been afraid to tell my version of the truth against the many who dislike my opinions? I'm not ashamed of using my own brain, going against the majority, and standing for what I know is right. I don't have a reason to lie, nor was I lying when I stated I was greasing my daughters head; it may not have been the hip thing to say, but it was the truth, and if that be the case then who cares.

Please tell me that you're not naive enough to think that racism isn't a problem anymore just because we have a black president? Who did most white people vote for, Obama or McCain? I'm not saying voting against Obama means a white person is racist, but come on dude, racism still exists, and now it's being put on full display by the racists. As a whole, racism is still a big problem in this country. I'm not calling Obama a liar, but if he really thinks that racism isn't a big issue, then I'd have to respectfully disagree with him.

But you said that "all men lie, and that's a fact" right? Are you included in that?

Racism is a problem for those who allow it to be a problem.

Obama and his White House made it clear they are dismissing all claims that racism is causing the opposition to fight against him.

Racism is not the only problem in this country. Stealing, murder, rape, HIV, AIDS, teen pregnancy, are "LARGER" issues than racism in this country.

Racism should be near the bottom of discussion. In fact, racism is displayed daily at HBCUs who refuse to hire whites in certain positions, but I don't recall the country questioning the HBCUs on their hiring practices.

All people are included and I never stated I wasn't included so you lost me there........

Answer my question, Are you calling Obama a lie for saying racism is not why most oppose him and his policy?

It's almost like you're condoning racism by saying it's the fault of the victims of racism because they allow it to be a problem.

Why are you so quick to denounce racism by those within your race, but so hesitant to denounce racism against your race?

Are you sure that Obama denounced ALL claims of racism against him? That's not what I heard when I heard him speak about it.

Why are you running from my question?

I already answered your question in an earlier post dude. Reading is fundamental.

Now why are you running from my questions?

Why are you so quick to denounce racism by those within your race, but so hesitant to denounce racism against your race?

Are you sure that Obama denounced ALL claims of racism against him? That's not what I heard when I heard him speak about it.

My bad, I completely forgot about that statement.

Why are you so quick to denounce racism by those within your race, but so hesitant to denounce racism against your race?

I'm aware that some whites, arabs, asians, and other races are racists towards the black race. Having said that, I'm also aware that some blacks are racists towards other races as well. What my point? We need to clean up our own home before we try to clean the homes of others. Secondly, racism will "ALWAYS" exists and there is nothing you nor I can do to change the minds of those who practice hatred. Thirdly, there are other issues much larger than racism, and I named them in a previous post.

I think I said this before and I will say it again, there is nothing a man or race can say to me that will have a detrimental effect on me and mine. I teach my kids that fools will always exist in this world, however don't allow or use the fool as an excuse to deter you from reaching your destination. How should fools be handled and this would include racists, segregationists, socialists, those who practice discrimination against women and etc........

Romans 16:17 Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them.

Romans 16:18 For those who are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple.

Romans 16:19 For your obedience has become known to all. Therefore I am glad on your behalf; but I want you to be wise in what is good, and simple concerning evil.

Romans 16:20 And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

In other words, do as the bible has instructed and you will be fine; if you decide to take matters into your own hand and ignore the bible, then expect your life to be a living he//.......that simple.

Are you sure that Obama denounced ALL claims of racism against him? That's not what I heard when I heard him speak about it.

Obama stated he knows there are some who didn't vote for him because of his race, and there are some who voted for him because of his race. In other words, both groups practiced racism and both were wrong.

So does that mean that you lied in your previous statement?

No, because the statement you quoted above is different from the statements I posted below; however, Reading is fundamental.:D

Obama is delusional if he truly believes that race isn't that big of an issue in Amerikkka.

I don't think he believes it, but you and me both know there is no way in hades that he can say that it does; he is still in office. Now, somewhere down the road, after he is out of office, I believe his response would be a bit different.

How so, when it was the majority of white folks who voted for Obama? Not only did they vote for him, but they ran his campaign, pumped hundreds of millions into his campaign, and the majority of his cabinet is white who don't have a problem serving a black man.

Remember, obama is half white and his father is from Kenya. Obama doesn't view racism like most black Americans do. He doesn't have family member who were enslaved by the white man.

This is nothing more than a man trying to satisfy EVERYBODY, and be politically correct by trying to diffuse the mounting racial tension in this country! Nobody expect the President of the United States to say otherwise. If he did, then he'd be committing political suicide IMO.

Truth of the matter is, racism is not a big issue...it's a HUGE issue. If it weren't, there would be no need for Obama (or anyone) to even address it...right?
