Northwestern State vs Grambling Game Updates: 6:00pm CT

G-Men have to tighten the offensive line play for next week. It was good to see our skilled guys live. You can clearly see why Maurice Washington was an Under Armor All-American as he ran like those eye dropping clips when he was at Nebraska. I cannot imagine any worse special team in the SWAC from protection standpoint. Extra points are a nightmare. Defense played better, but we are not quite at the Grambling standard. I am expect G-Men to rise to the occasion against J-State. It was 41-7 at halftime and 41 dominating points - no fluke about it.

We let up in the second half. I think Hue starting trying different defensive schemes.

I don’t like what I heard concerning our players focus coming out after halftime. According to NW broadcast team they were “enjoying the band”. Hope that was an exaggeration and just sour grapes. I like mental discipline
I did not see that. NSU band took more of their allotted time, in which the WF was still performing when the G-Men started their post halftime warmups. G-Men started to get amped with our patented GSU chant as the WF exited the field.

Mental focus should be intact next week as we are not use to J-State being SWAC champs. I expect a “prop our feet on the desk” like confidence as we venture into the Vet (i.e. Grambling West) where Icon Gram has not lost since 1999.
