Nike contract didn't do much to help. 3/4 of the meac schools are still losers.

Lol. I saw some recruits on twitter making fun of the SWAC and the Russell uniforms.. Lol.

Seriously how can you make fun of a jersey ? It's not like one is black tie and the other white linen they are simply jerseys with a different logo.

And that converts to wins how?
Not going to happen over night, but when these kids going to these Camps and visits they are showered with Nike, Adidas and Under Armor Gear. This Generation is product or gear driven. The More the Brand name schools get gear of some shelves the more freebies they will get that they can in turn give it to Recruits, who will wear it after visits because its Nike UA even if they dont Sign. So the School is then Marketed to a Freshman or Sophomore coming up through the ranks that might give these schools real considerations because they Like the Gloves, Cleats, work out gear.

They can't be "showered" with anything more than basically a camp t-shirt per NCAA.

And a tiny fraction of those kids even get offers from the large schools that host most of these camps.

Anybody

Is Russell gear a good product, I never been into the whole label thing...saw some Russell sweats....wanted to cop them...

They Dont see that

You and I know that but they reality of it is it's silly to think that's a major factor when it's not. If you ask a kid sure they will give you their input but study after study has shown that isn't even remotely a major factor in their decision making.

Barnes and nobles (our bookstore) is filled with all brands. Because Barnes and Nobles is a leased company located at the university they are not under NCAA contractual agreements to sell a specific product made by a vendor.
There are no NCAA contractual agreements to sell anything by a specific vendor anyway. They pay the supplier fees they can sell.

????? I bet their Bookstores and Local Stores can move more NIKE and Under Armor then they can Russell.. We Talking Money
I don't know about the rest of y'all, but they already have Nike, UA, Etc gear in the bookstore and other places(Champs, footlocker, finish line, etc)

Exactly! But really I'm just poking fun at all those meac fans and some on this board that went on this crusade about how it was going to attraction more recruits as if that was going to be the answer to their program woes .

Hell shit attracts more flies than sugar but they are still flies.

I talked to two A&T players at their HC about the uniforms and they really did not care. They preferred their home Nike and the away Russell.
