NFL Playoffs

The Saints running game killed them. If Drew Brees didn't throw those two picks, the game wouldn't have been as close.

They did run the ball a lot, but I thought it was because "Breesy" was being a little cautious because of those 2 picks.

I absolutely love how Sean Payton controlled the clock in the last 2+ minutes of the game. I heard Cris Collinsworth mention how the Saints had the 2nd best TOP in the league and tonight it showed! It made me think of another Louisiana team that used the clock to their advantage.:swink:

Mark Ingram did good, but I really like Khiry Robinson. He's way more elusive and has more speed as a running back. I don't know why he is playing behind Ingram.

As a HC. He might be another Mike Martz and bounce around getting people fired.

The Eagles defense actually played well tonight and down the stretch during the regular season. You can't give Brees a short field like that, though after committing a penalty on special teams.

The Saints is 2nd in the league in ball control. I think Terron brings a run block package that the other OL didn't have. With Terron speed, he can get up field to make those necessary blocks to help your running backs to gain extra yards.

Their Dline got demolished.

This is true. I was worried about that until I saw that Lewis was okay. Hopefully he'll be able to play for the Seattle game (I don't think they announced he had a concussion).

Next season, the young man's stock definitely will be going up.

I hope so. It would be so wonderful to see him earn an SB ring not 2 years after he earned a SWAC Championship ring.........while wearing that Black&Gold again!

Unless he has some type of brain swelling, he should be able to play.

He had a concussion. That's why the doctors wouldn't allow him to go back in.

The league is high on Terron. Since he has been a starter, they have been watching him closely and isolating him frequently to show what he is doing. I believe he has a real bright future......

With his speed, his down field blocking should be a beast. His massive size and speed should easily create a wall on the left side for any running back to get up field for at least 5 to 6 yards.

Breed didn't do anything that last drive. Ingram and Robinson straight ran through them. Brees did two qb sneaks and the Philly dline was blown back 3 yards.

This was the first game I saw that the Saints running game was way more effective than their passing game. Like I said, if Drew Brees didn't throw those two picks, they could have won by a larger margin.

Until they can do a complete evaluation on him/MRI. I'm sure a doctor will examine him tomorrow.

He knocked him himself silly on the hit. That was the first sign of a concussion. Plus, doctors are required to do a concussion test on the sideline. He failed. That's why he did go back in.

Due to the new NFL's concussion rule, damn near every player would fail the sideline concussion test. The NFL doesn't want to take any chances with a player's career.

But he had a concussion, though. Dude grabbed his head after blowing himself up and was slow to get up.
