The marketing and sales people at AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and all the other wireless carriers are squirming in their seats. If they continue their ways they could be in danger of being put behind bars.
Probably no one will be put in jail for the first offense and I am sure the fines for breaking the law will be more than enough for their employer that their behavior will be rapidly corrected.
Representative Anna Eshoo submitted a bill to the U.S. House that would require the wireless carriers to tell the total truth and nothing but the truth about their 4G services. There is absolutely no formal definition or even standards of what 4G really is. This bill attempts to make sense of 4G for the consumer.
