New Mexico Safety Arrested

 My points exactly. I am not for sagging pants, but they did this to make a statement. In other words they told him, boy stay in your place.
After hearing his side of the story, I think the situation was handle wrong. Sagging pants are everywhere to include airports. Once they learned that they were not dealing with a dummy, it became clear they had to really defend their position. They should not have taken his boarding pass and asked him to stand aside. You cannot get on a plane without a boarding pass. This appeared to be started by one ticket taker, instead of warning him when he arrived at the gate. Marshals and security people look over passengers while seated in the waiting area. The young man could have been advised prior to approaching the gate to get on the plane. You cannot asked an individual to pull up his pants without having some authority. I not for sagging pants, but I have enough sense not to tell those who want to wear their pants low to pull them up. If it not against the law, then we have a problem. Now we need a dress code for flying.

I have had folks to try and make me do something, that was not normal. One is that I had a problem with a clerk at Madison Co Court house. So we had some words about the document and I told her that I would do as she said and would be back in 30 minutes. When I returned they had some deputies waiting. When I saw them I went to another clerk, she came over to get my paperwork, but I would not allow her to wait on me. They were disappointed.

Maybe you should come around my uncles sometimes...they'll teach you how to be a "real man" and not have to attend private meetings in the basement with other men!!!

Yeah, real men skating in skinny jeans and doing the dougie. Sorry baby, I was raised by real men who did real work and got their hands dirty.

Not skate boys who played in the band.

and women who marched in the band or pledged Tau Beta should never, ever talk about someone being gay.

Lets not mention all the dykes that came through delta pi.

:lmao:

I'm not Tau Beta (you forgot the Sigma)

But you shole seem to (think) you know about all the gayness that took place on campus though!! I forgot...you frequent gay clubs in New Orleans/Baton Rouge...so I'm sure you know about the gay ones in Jackson!!

Everything about you is a man-law violation!!

lol Y'all in here cuttin' up.

Methinks ol' boy may have something of a case though. It's objective but it's gonna' depend on what the law interprets "obscene display" as, IMO. Passing through security, numerous gate agents, about to board, and no one else said a word? It's fishy and seems like a personal vendetta, if nothing else.

Curious to see how it plays out. (through court, if it makes it that far)

I thought you was that tau beta shat. My bad.... I can't help the Sonic Boom marched that gayness around campus for the world to see. Openly gay male twirlers. Dyking broads for drum majors and playing instruments. Like really. Again, if yall like it, so be it.

Also, not my fault that Delta Pi made openly gay chicks on the yard. But keep on promoting sagging and skating. That is why Chicago is the murderous, broke cess pool of a city that it is.

Man what you got against the Chi?

So if you have a son, you gone encourage him to sag his jeans? I am just questioning. I have never met any other adult in my life that was pro-sagging. Especially over the age of 30. Or one someone who would encourage a cat to get arrested in the airport rather than to just pull their pants up.

I think a lot of this dialogue is pointless unless we saw the incident. She may have been lookin directly at the crack of his azz. I have seen different degrees of saggin. All parents are not against sagging becasue some saggin is not bad. Most parents are probably against showing your draws and whole ass. I don't call wearing your pants slightly below your waistline saggin and I see a lot of guys doing that. If you relax your pants by more than an inch or two, I think that can qualify as sagging. When they get to sagging below their azz, that is just ignorant.

I need to re-read this article. It sounds like some of us are making a mountain out of a molehill and turning this into a issue of prejudice and racism. I don't recall the ethnicity of the Airline Worker who told the man to pull his pants up. For all I know (until I re-read the article), the worker could have been a BLACK man or woman. And if it was, then what?

I tell kids in school to pull their pants up ALL THE TIME. Some listen, some don't...but none of them were stupid enough to challenge my authority. Consequences would be sure to follow if they were foolish enough to.

This idiot dude decides to take it upon himself and challenge authority, instead of doing a simple SIMPLE task. And you see where it got him...(what a dumbass) Should it matter the race or gender of the person that this was addressed to? Bottom line, I don't care if you're BLACK, WHITE, or PALE BLUE...that shyt looks STUPID and GAY as hell. And what was his rationale for sagging again? Lawd have mercy!!!! :shame:

Besides...Airlines, like most other businesses have the right to refuse service. Though the passenger also has the right to complain, the passenger was in the wrong for this one.

LOl @ folks talking about "civil rights" and "MLK". MLK? Really!? I BET YOU MLK didn't sag...and if that man were still around, he'd be telling these silly looking boys to pull up their pants too.

What people fail to realize is that sometimes when you take your "individuality" too far (and that "individuality" jargon is GARBAGE to me btw), to the point where it bothers other people when you are away from home, you offend people.

So much truth in this statement.

It's funny that back during the Civil Rights era, we (African Americans) fought for equal rights to enter certain establishments. Now that we're allowed in, we don't want to follow the establishments' rules and regulations. The article clearly said the airline has a dress code requirement for passengers and the kid violated it. He could have saved himself time, embarrassment, and a record by simply pulling his pants up when asked.

This is a good life lesson for this young man.

Life lesson? That is stupid. A life lesson that he got picked on by some white person, who was basically jealous and got him a felony for nothing? Man yall really can't see the forest for the trees. Yall are happy a young black man got a felony for his pants sagging, and he may become another victim of the white man's jail house.

cosign.

Yall are lost. It is sad that yall are so in love with your massa, that anything he says and does to young black men you are happy. Educated slave ninjas are what you are. Just happy to be working the white man's job. Keep tap dancing and jigging for for him.

Yeah...I guess so.

But no matter how you cut it, or scream "black power", or talk about "massa-nem", or rant about jig dancing, educated uncle toms, in this situation, the brotha was WRONG!!!! And supporting that nonsense (ie. his unnecessary defiance), for whatever reason, is just as backwards has that dude is.

I could understand if the dude was told to do something derogatory, or insulting as a man...or something that is considered inhumane. The way some of yall are talking, you would think that the worker was some "white power" screaming, whip carrying, racist old kook, with an undying hatred for black men. I guess it would have been ok if the worker was some old black man. WTH difference does it make?

~shrugs~

I don't know. Maybe I am missing the big picture here, and somehow, this is an example of how the white man continues to oppress black people in everyday life...by telling him to pull up his pants....:lmao:

The problem is no one is saying sagging is correct. You all never see the part where we have said sagging is not a good thing. You only see that massa locked another black guy up for not doing what some poor white dude said. Bottom line, the same poor white folks in 2011 are the same ones who ancestors were for slavery. The same ones who are in these southern states passing legislation to end anything that they think helps minorities.

He had a choice - if he wants to sag - fly another airline, take a train or bus. He was wrong and you know it. You are just making excuses for his behavior.

And with that said and what PV Sax said...case and point!

Cee does have a point.......

Some folks on here probably took great pleasure in taking a paddle, chair, etc. and hitting some poor souls body with it just so they join the organization when they were in college........

Don't act like you haven't....:D.
