Advice

We are prohibited from giving specific legal advice in this manner. You must be retained in order to render legal opinions. Additionally, we would need information to formulate the opinion, that you certainly don't want posted on a public forum. When the attorneys who are members of TSPN have DISCUSSIONS regarding legal matters it is for educational use only and not meant to create an attorney-client relationship.

You should IMMEDIATELY contact an attorney who specializes in Family Law to receive information and advice. If you don't know an attorney, call the local bar association in your city and they will give you a list of lawyers who handle these types of cases.

Good luck, divorce is never easy.

Thanks for the information, is it okay for you to let me know the cost of getting an attorney for divorce

:emlaugh: Each attorney sets the amount they charge as fees. When you make the appointment, they will let you know about the cost for initial consultant, if any. Once you talk to the attorney, he/she will talk to you about costs and fees.

There are some things that you can do on your own in Texas to start the process. If it will not be contested or any problems w/ property you can resolve a lot of stuff before hand. There is a web site for Harris County where you can get a lot of information for this, I think I still have it bookmarked on another computer i use, I'll check and send it to. I believe it is from the Famliy Law Center thats downtown.

Thanks all for the info(Really wish I could verbally talk to ya'll)

Thanks for all the information.

Really wish I could speak to a real man. If you all knew what I am going through right now, you would really feel the same way I am feeling, "What's Love got to do with it" NOT A GOT DAYUM THING"

AS YOU CAN SEE I AM MAD AS H$$L:redhot:

SEND INFO ASAP

Dang, is it THAT bad?

Keep God first and don't forget to pray. Divorce is always very hard on both people involved. Please try not to be too angry because anger will only make the situation worst. I wish you well and I will keep you and your spouse in my prayers.

I have been in prayer about this for a long time

I pray all the time about this and other things, but when only one is in prayer therein lies a big problem.

I agree with you, but you cannot not give up on prayer. You have to pray without ceasing. Life is not easy and God never meant for everything to work out the way we want it or expect it to work out. I know what you are going through, I have been there, and done that. I have been divorced for over ten years and it is never an easy decision to make. I hope you all have gone to counseling or at least talked with your clergy. "Keep your head up, and keep the faith."
