NCAT vs NDSU in Fargo Sept. 19, 2020

That's not enough for them to travel that far.... PVAMU & stu got that from Sam just to travel 45 minutes down the road.
Considering the program and size of the venue, $240K is probably about a much as NDSU can probably afford without taking a loss on the game. The Fargo Dome only seats 19,000. It's not that big.

Both PVAMU & stu got that money from Sam and PVAMU even got to host a game with them without having to pay out anything. They wanted it bad...
That made no sense. I guess they expected to draw more fans. They haven't come close to selling that stadium out in years

They just took a whole section from the students to sell more season tickets. They have a 12K season ticket base and a waiting list. They're not hurting for funds.

It was roughly 600 people less than their homecoming game for 2019, which was their highest attended game on campus. (HC-10098, PV-9571)

Yeah but $240k is about 5% of their overall ticket sales across all sports. Still a large chunk.

Well, I don't pretend to know all of the dynamics. But from what I've read, despite being located on the campus, the Fargo Dome is owned by the city of Fargo, not NDSU. So there are some additional cost that someone is responsible for.

Not to mention that that $240K mark appears the going rate for upper-tier FCS schools to play one year in Fargo. They've paid out almost $3 million this decade in those kinds of games. I do suspect that A&T could still get them to come to Greensboro in '21 or '22 depending on how things work out. NDSU will be traveling to Delaware for a return game and hosting UC-Davis and paying them $240K.

They had a 22 Million Dollar budget fro 2018.
I'm talking about ticket sales vs individual game payout not overall budget.

Just like SHSU... their overall ticket sales have been under $1M for a while... but they're paying $250K to TSU and PV without a significant increase in attendance compared to other home games? Silly.

That not a good deal. Basically you're playing against a lower tier FBS program with a larger budget. I wouldn't accept anything less than $350K and would try to get room & board covered. If they want the band, they have to pay for it...lol Whom ever is negotiating for A&T is grossly underestimating their marketability at this point and time....BTW all FCS/HBCU(s) don't have the same price tag....

SHSU paid $200k to both schools. It was likely ensuring that the game would happen considering the school got screwed on two home and homes with SWAC schools during previous decade. Bama State and TxSo if I recall

UIW paid $115k to a SWAC in a similar deal (can’t remember if PV or TsU) while HBU didn’t pay anything for its home and home.

Yeah, that's not enough. They'd have to come on down for the back end of a deal.

Bama State bought you out. So you all got paid, played another game to fill your schedule and never had to go to montgomery. Life doesn't get any better than that for a football program. The hornets should only be so lucky that UAB buys them out and still pays them their guarantee so they can find a more competitive game.

UIW paid PV for that home game and also had to pay a buyout for the 2nd home game they had a contract for.

Bad deal. NCAT you are an elite HBCU program. There is no way you should have accepted this deal. If they wanted you in Fargo, ND they better get ready to travel to Greensboro the very next year. And then for $240,000. Yall could have found a FBS program and got more money than that.

Our A.D. says this game is not about the money. Besides our guys seem to play these type games better on the road.

Yep....we both got more than that...

Your school gave me a copy of the game contract vs SHSU as did C-Leb’s school. I posted them to KatFans.

Same goes for the PV/UIW contract. Did your school(s) respond to a FOI request with false info? Or you guys just going Trump on me when facts available to prove you wrong
