NCAA turns down Williams' reinstatement bid

You can also look at it like this. Why do the NCAA let kids play pro baseball and college football? Maybe because many of the kids who do this are kids of the big time boosters.

I'm tellin' ya. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE. PRO is PRO. MONEY IS MONEY.

Florida St. had a REAL GOOD TIME WITH THEIR MULTI-MILLIONARE 26 YEAR OLD COLLEGE QB THAT PLAYED PRO BASEBALL FOR 7 YEARS.

I'm sure the NCAA is not foolish, :retard:, enough to think these guys DON'T HAND OUT A DOLLAR OR TWO TO THEIR TEAMATES. Why don't taking money from Pro Baseball kill your college status like it would for any other sport. Heck, SKIING KILLED THE COLORADO WR COLLEGE CAREER. He had to decide between Skiing endorsement money and college football. :retard:

Nobody tells these baseball players they have to give back SHAT. WHATS THE DIFFERENCE.

Two points.

First, if you think what you guys are talking about is bad, imagine a whole damn city that is happy the guy didn't get back. Yep, that's Baton Rouge today. These damn LSU cloneheads are calling into every sports talk show here and are freaking celebrating the fact that the kid can't play and that USC was told right before they stepped on the plane.
They want USC to fall so damn much just because someone thought that the Trojans were as good as the Tigers last year. I betcha LA sports talk isn't worried about LSU at all, but these fools jump from Oregon State (first game) to USC (game tomorrow) and are arranging parties to watch them lose!

Second, things like this just further cement my thoughts that the non-BCS football conferences and d1-aa should divide from the money hungry NCAA and come up with something that suits the needs of smaller colleges and universities. They killed SMU's football program and assisted in killing PVU's, but let Tennessee and Ohio State's of the world sneak under the radar.
They allow 14 million dollars to got to one team for coming to the Superdome and JUST stepping on the field, but also allow 16 teams to play games that THEY take over 60% of the gate for.

If we ever get an invite to the d1-aa playoffs, I would hope that Kerr and Richardson tell them to shove that isht straight up!

I really feel sorry for this kid. I can't believe the NCAA did the young man like that. Now I, like others, were against his going into the NFL, because of the "unwritten rule" they have, but once it was decided by the courts that it was unconstitutional for the NFL to keep him out (and then overturned), it was the NCAAs duty to let Mike Williams back in. The system failed him in this case.

He'll be just fine. He's 6'5" and has arguably the best hands since Jerry Rice. For the next 8 months, as long as he doesn't shrink, tear up a knee in pick up b'ball and stay in f'ball shape/ prepare for the combines, he will get paid.

I know he will be straight barring all of that. That's not the point. With all of these flip-flop decisions going on, he is the only one who will come up with the short end on the stick.
