I agree. I went to the tourney and saw it with my own two eyes. Our big man looked terrible but this game he held his own against a candidate for national poty. Hopefully we have convinced some more ballers to come to SU and TxSU, UAPB, and others can make some noise in the OOC games then we may get more than one team in the tournament.

You cant tell me that if we shift the Budgets just a little to Basketball, Schedule a little better then we cant be like Gonzaga and the Butlers of the World..

We have to regulate who our schools Play, if we going to improve we got to stop playing DII and below and start getting games with Liberty, Middle Tennessee, kent state, etc... to build our rpi

Great game by the Jags! Now that we have that NJ connection, maybe we can match a recruit or two with some of that talent in the South and elevate even higher! I think everybody is still talking about all the blocked shots!!! WoW!!!

Southern fought hard. A great learning experience for the guys who are coming back, and hopefully a recruiting tool to get more quality players in the future. Nothing to be ashamed of for the Jags.
Can't believe some are talking about the refs bailing out Gonzaga, and Gonzaga making lucky shots. Did you see some of those threes Southern threw up with a guy in their face that went in?

I keep on thinking that Coach Banks son is the point at 5A state champion Scotlandville Magnet. I'm not sure if he is a senior but looks like he would be a great compliment potentially. I agree though and hope we can ink a few high profile players. Beltran will certainly need to be replaced by a machine gun.

Miller will start next year. Mitchell is back. Yondarius Johnson has some upside. We got some ballers sitting out.

Yeah I have Louisville or Miami taking it all.
I would have taken both PG's out late in the game and let Beltran run the offense. Beltran, Miller, Moore, Mitchell, and Johnson.

Regardless of the outcome, I'm proud how SU played and represented. I hope this is a building block for all SWAC schools.

I am sticking with Florida. I really believe they can roll any team in the tournament when they are on their A game. But the problem is that A game has been gone for a while.
