NBA TALK ----- Rasheed & Ruben for Tumbo & Martin

damn Mutombo getting 17.9 mil and 19.7 mil next year??????????????????????

for what??????
:confused::confused::confused:

Don't know which team would make out best in a deal for a bunch of flawed players like these. The two headliners (KMart and Wallace) are mental cases, esp Wallace, but I'll take Martin's game over Wallace.

Trade Talk

Frat, I don't know bruh. I think it is bad for New Jersey. Actually it is bad for both teams. I know Portland wants to clean house and I can understand that. But getting Mutombo and Kenyon for Rasheed and Patterson to me does them no good. Mutombo needs to stay in the East and with Mourning there and maybe healthy, they could start Mutombo and Mourning together with Martin playing the Small Forward. Martin's game is suited for the East. He'll be in trouble in the West. Just my opinion. Plus why would NJ mess with their chemistry? Just adding Mourning and resigning Lucious Harris was good enough. I am NC fan so of course I love Rasheed's game when he stays away from the Ref, but man I just don't know man. Seems like both teams lose on this. Where would NJ play Patterson with Kittles, Jefferson and Harris all playing on the wing?

I can understand Portland trying to make a clean sweep --- (Getting rid of troublemakers), but Tumbo is waaaaay to slow to run with this team. Unless they are playing half-court ball 70% of the time, it's going to be a 4 on 5 game for Portland-- (up and Down the Court).

For Jersey, it dose not make sence. If they could get Wallace, somehow without giving up the farm, then take a chance. Don't bust up the team. Bring them both in, Wallace and Patterson, is a recipe for implosion.

I don't know why NJ won't give KMart the max. The boy is a player and could hold his own against the West Power Fowards. But, in order to trade KMart, they will make Tumbo a throw in.

It does'nt make sense for both sides. Unless there are in-house problems we don't know about.

The Gangstas need to send this bunch in different directions. Dang near the whole team has at least 2 court appearences a season. A shame though ... If this team had it's collective heads on straight, they would be a force.

As far as Jersey, there may have been something to the reporting during the playoff's about a Byron Scott/Tumbo rift. They just might be trying to avoid another year of Scott not playing Tumbo at $19 million a year.

I'm a big K-Mart fan, and I would love to see him stay in Jersey, but if the trade happens, I think Jersey wins with this deal. Rasheed is a much better offensive player, and despite all of his flaws the boy can play.

Also, I think Jersey will be a better situation for him, because Zo, and Jason Kidd, aren't going to take that schit off of him, the way Portland, and Pippen did. Zo is coming back for one reason, and that's to challenge for a title, and I can't see him letting Rasheed act like child, while he's on his quest.

NICE

I think KMart's a good, solid player, but he ain't no SUPERSTAR...... And while he's worth more than the 5.1 mil he'll get this season, he ain't worth nowhere near the 'maximum' allowed....

He needs to get some more offense to go along with his defense first, then he can talk 'contract'.........

And he certainly isn't going to get a new contract this year; not when they just signed Zo, and still have Tumbo making 17.9 mil this season.... Think about it, Zo is a bigger media/fan draw than KMart could ever be. And if Zo has a good year and the Nets go deep in the playoffs, or make the Finals, Zo may re-up and play longer (if he's healthy). And if this happens, why would you tie-up cap money giving KMart a huge contract.....

Attention Nets GM, don't pull a 'Mark Cuban' and make KMart the new 'Raef LaFrentz'......

:shame:
