NBA Offseason

Re: Kevin Love rumors

It would be the smartest move this front office has made.

You're better and smarter than this.

This team has the depth to go far but now they want to blow it up just for one guy that hasn't even sniffed the postseason. I'm not buying it.

So, you rather have depth than a guy who got 26 and 13? Love would be surrounded by better players in Chicago even with Butler and Gibson, etc. not there.

Re: Kevin Love rumors

I really hope this doesn't happen for my Bulls. I think that's too much to give.

All Size with no wing players to do isht. Cleveland should tell Minnesota to go jump in a late. If I am them I roll the dice with Wiggins, Bennett etc and get Ray Allen to come play with the youngsters. Or either trade for Greg Monroe from Detroit for less if they need a big man so bad. You probably could give Detroit Bennett and Waiters for Monroe.

Minnesota is hosed. Teams can play the waiting game. The offers will get worse after the season starts.

Love, Gasol, Noah and Rose would still get their arses kicked. Still ain't enough. You have basically 3 PF or 2 PFs and Center plus Rose and hope you can add some pieces to help. You have to give away all your damn shooters and defenders on the wing in this deal. If the Bulls do this. Then they are dumb. They can compete as is and may just need a few more role players. You might well had not signed Gasol if you wanted Love so bad. Same position and Gasol don't play to his potential off the bench. That dude should have went to San Antonio and took less money if he wanted a ring badly. He would have been perfect playing next to Tim Duncan and K Leonard. Now he got to worry about Love taking a lot of his minutes if he comes to Chicago.

You acquire as many good players as you possibly can. Period. You figure the rest out as you go along.

And who are all these shooters that the Bulls would have to give away?

Butler and McDermott would be in that deal right? Both are wing players.

Re: Kevin Love rumors

You said give them Dunleavy in a package instead of McDermott and you're calling me foolish?

Seven years ago, the Bulls wouldn't give up Deng for Gasol. Eight years ago, they wouldn't give up Deng and Hinrich for KG. The logic was not to break up the core.

They never won anything with the core. Screw the core if you can get better players for them.

What's wrong with people?

You ignore that the Bulls have never had this much depth since Jordan played. You need depth and defense to win in the playoffs. The Bulls have defense and have already added offense with Brooks, Gasol, McBuckets and possibly the Euro kid.

Re: Kevin Love rumors

He can defend though. If he's traded, name one other player on this team that you'd want to guard LeBron when it's time to play the Cavs

It wouldn't matter anyway. LeBron's the best player in the world.

It would matter when you are giving up players that have helped you to be established as the top defensive team in the league. Love's numbers are inflated due to how sorry the Wolves are.

In 2011, the Bulls had the best bench in the NBA. You know, The Bench Mob? They got smoked in the ECF by Miami because their 5 was better than the Bulls best 5. Oh, and LeBron guarded Rose and he couldn't score, which hurt the team because there was no other players who could create their own shot. But, they had depth.

And when they lost Rose against Philly, they didn't survive. But, they had depth tho.

You need great players to win championships. As a GM, it is you're responsibility to put your team in the best position to win championships. Sometimes you gotta take risk to improve the team.

Dude that team could not score. All they had was Rose as a reliable scorer and we see what happened when they played the Heat in the playoffs. The current roster has the right amount of balance with offensive players and defensive players.

This doesn't improve the team. The team is already good at the 4 & 5 position. Their weakness right now is the 2 spot.

What did being the best defensive team in the NBA get the Bulls last year? Oh, that's right nowhere except taken fishin' by the Wizards.

Here's the thing about Love's defense... The Bulls were the best defensive team in the league with Boozer and Dunleavy out there. And they can't defend. Hell, Rose can't defend either and they were still really good at defense.

I think Thibs can figure it out with Love.

Apparently, you ignored the comment about the Bulls have more offense this upcoming season. Stick to baseball...

Dude, stop acting like the current roster is on the same level as the team that played the Wizards

Noah can't create his own offense. You know that, right? Never in the history of the league has the NBA-ALL First Team center been on a team that was last in scoring like Noah was.

The Bulls need all the best players they can't get. Love is better at basketball than Taj and Jimmy.

Obviously the Center position is not the same as it was in the past so whatever point you are trying to make with Noah is ridiculous. You might need to read this article about if this trade were to happen. It might make your basketball IQ increase and actually a good writer.

It's not about being better than the Wizards. It's about being better than everyone else in the NBA.

Kevin Love gets you closer than being better than everyone else on the NBA.

You kill your depth if you add Love. You were the one to bring up the Wizards, not me. Again you are not giving any examples of how this makes the team better. It doesn't improve the team defensively nor will Love have those same numbers with playing alongside Noah

Love on the Bulls makes them a better team because he's a better basketball player than the players they would be giving up in a trade. How hard is that to understand?
