Question: If the Lakers get swept in the Finals, can Kobe Bryant be considered the greatest player ever, considering that he could be 0-for-7 in the last two NBA Finals?

Jordan's Bulls never lost a NBA Finals series and they were never down 0-2 in the Finals either.

The 4th quarter comeback by the Lakers in game 2 will not be a benefit in game 3. If we win by 24, we go into L.A. over confident. The 6 point win keeps us focused.

You can not be a jump shooting team and b-tch about the 38-10 fouls. Be a dayum man and faced KP43, Powe, Garnette, P.J, and Big Baby in the paint!

How many dunks did Kobe have in game 2? Again, I repeat, "the Lakers are the softest team we have faced in the playoffs.

Utah exposed your weakest on the boards (Boozer).

Bench - Not even close! Atlanta, Cleveland, and Detroit had a better bench than the Lakers. Linsey Hunter, Maxielle, and that Rookie from Eastern Michigan were BEAST!

PS: KG has not had a good game at this point. What is going to happen when he goes off for 30? Rondo is the key to our offense. Rondo is breaking down your defense in the half court and on the break.

Another PS: You better stop double teaming Pierce. If Kobe is so dayum good, he should guard Pierce one on one (the Lakers chances of winning will increase).

All three of those refs need to be burned at the stake and afterwards put before a firing squad and summarily executed all over again.

23 FOULS....for Boston

2 FOULS.....for the Lakers.

NEVER in NBA history......

Ain't gotta say another word. Anybody who tries to even think about justifying that shat is not only a fool, but a DAYUM fool!!:dizzy::dizzy:

I guess a certain somebody will be crying his little heart out again....

CELTICS 2-0

:)

Yup, J; you were right (again), and he is using big red letters too....:smh:.

What really gets me is all this crying about the refs now, but when it was somebody else's team, not a peep.

Every commentator on every network made note of the jump shooting versus driving to the hole.
That is why Powe (POW!!!!) had so many free throws. "KoMe" stayed on the outside for the most
part and when he tried to drive, the celts clammed him up.

Anyway, in my opinion, the fakers got a full dose of their own medicine in bean town, and
I hope the remainder of the series is as entertaining.

Robjay, you all lost. Kobe lost. No one else showed up.

No one showed up?! The stats say otherwise......

........Lakers.......................Celtics
[FG] 41-83 (49.4%),,,,,,,,,36-68 (52.9%)
[3pts] 10-21 (47.6%)......9-14 (64.3%)
[FT] 10-10 (100%).........27-38 (71.1%)
[Off. REBS] 11...................10
[REBS] 36........................37
[ASTS] 20.......................31
[TOs] 13.........................15
[STLS] 8.........................7
[BLKS] 1.........................3
[PFs] 28.........................21

Points: 102....................108

Hmmm, don't see an overwhelming discrepancy there that would warrant a 23 to TWO foul advantage for one half and a total foul discrepancy of 38-10.:smh: Ain't no team in NBA history THAT good or THAT bad, to only warrant TWO foul shots.

LA lost the game when they were outscored by 24 in the second and third quarters....

Crying??!! Call it what you will, but that shat was blatant and they weren't even trying to hide the blatancy. 23 fouls to TWO??!! Come on dude, it ain't that difficult to say that there was some fishy shat going on.:lmao:

NEVER in the 50 plus years in NBA history has one team only shot TWO fouls shots in the first half. The NBA made history last night. One foul was a three point play and the other a technical.

I did call it what I wanted....crying about it. I have seen the same crap in the lakers favor in Staples.
Why weren't you posting stats and complain about the refs then? I will tell you why; because it was to your liking.

Now, after Tuesday's game, come back and post about the blantant oversights that we are sure to witness in favor of the fakers.

Carry on

Dude, if it was a 23 to 10 or 23 to 13 discrepancy, I'd kinda understand, but a 23 to TWO discrepancy?! Okaaayyyyy!!

Even the Bird led Celtics of the '80's never enjoyed that much homecookin.:lmao:

RobJay, you all let Powe beat you all. You all dont deserve to be in the Championship.

L Powe 15 2 0 4 21
Only played 15 minutes and scored 21 points.

F Stern and the NBA. The foul calls in the first half were pure BS. The Celtics were allowed to stay in the game while the lakers were force to play on their hills. Oh well I guess the Lakers will get calls in LA and it will end in 7. I'm not mad as a fan cause we fought through the BS but ref#26 can suck a fat babies ickd...

Boston will for ever be a hated team. Kendrick I can give a rat arse what you think right now.

It will end in 7???? Shiiid!

The way Boston is playing right now...they just might be celebrating their title at the Staples Center.

Jordan's Bulls never lost a NBA Finals series and they were never down 0-2 in the Finals either.

JORDAN never been down by 2 in a finals and didn't pull out the win..

:)

This should end all this GREATEST talk unless we are speaking of the ONLY GREAT ONE JORDAN!!!

Wait a minute. Just wait a minute here. I know the foul difference was big in Games 2 against the Lakers. However, the Lakers have been other side of that equation in the 2008 playoffs.

In Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals against the Jazz the Lakers shot 43 free-throws and the Jazz shot 16. The Lakers won 110-120 at Staples Center.

So this is not the first time in the history of the NBA that something like this happened.

Man quit the crying, LOL!! The Lakers lost. When dude took like 6 steps on that steal for the dunk, what did you say? LOL!! That was an obvious traveling violation, LOL!! :lmao:

Aint nobody crying man. A blind man could see that the refs set the tone of the game early and Boston road the wave. How do refs affect games? All you have to do is call a few touch fouls on key players and now they are playing tentative and on their heals.

Oh yeah He traveled and I was mad at that call. YOu can ask my wife. I'm like call that ish he took three steps and I counted them on the replay. SMH at this BS. The celtics are stronger down low than the lakers but I saw fouls with my open eyes not no bias.

No crying over here they can have the title. They surely bet the farm on it. We will learn from this one.

Thank you very much for pointing that out. Those crying lakers fans can sit down with those crocodile tears that they are pumping out, LOL!! When the hsit goes in their favor, you don't hear a word from them. :lmao:

However, the Jazz didn't make the Western Conference Finals, so either you're referring to the Western Conference Semifinals, or you are referring to the Spurs.

Dude, since when did the Lakers play Utah in the NBA finals? Please, give the time and date while you're at it.

FYI, the Jazz commit the most fouls in the NBA period. The Lakers shoot more free throws than most teams in the NBA, but you're trying to justify TWO foul shots for one whole half?! You take the cake. See my first post today.

The ole bailout trick is in full effect.:lmao:

NOW VEGAS HAS THE LAKERS FAVORED BY 9.5 POINTS ON TUESDAY??!! THE NBA TRULY IS A BUSINESS. THAT WAS MADE LOUD AND CLEAR LAST NIGHT, AND NOW VEGAS SOLIDIFIES MY POINT. DAYUM.....SAY IT AIN'T SO.:smh:

Even if they don't get swept but lose the series all of the Kobe is the greatest talk should still cease for good. Not only did MJ never lose a NBA Finals series, he was never down 0-2, he never had a 30% shooting avg in the finals, and he never averaged less than 30 pts in the finals either.

All this crying is a daymn shame. The Lakers made it to the Finals off of bad calls in their favor so don't cry now. The Lakers have no Defense, Kobe has no answer for Boston's defense, and the Lakers are soft.

He can take that argument and stuff it cause the Lakers didn't shoot a lot of Freethrows against the Spurs. Kobe went two games without attempting a free throw.

And the Jazz were the top fouling team in the league. Also Boston is know for fouling too. All of a sudden they stop fouling..LOL

Shaw, I understand these folks don't like me, don't like Kobe or maybe don't like the NBA, but for them to try and explain the free throw discrepancy is ludricous and laughable. TWO free throws??!!:lmao:
