Kobe scoring will not win the championship for the Lakers. Kobe causes damage with his assist. The Celts are determined to make Kobe take a tuff shot and keep his assists below 10 if so, we win.

Garnette shooting the medium range jumper is a bonus for two reasons, number 1, he can make the shot and number 2, it leaves Gasol or Odom alone under the basket with KP 43 (Rebound KP 43).


Besides Kobe, who on the Lakers team can create their own shot. In the 4th quarter watch the Lakers become a jump shooting team.

Pierce and Kobe will cancel each other out in scoring and assist. Who will win the scoring batte between Garnette/Allen vs. Gasol and Odom?

I could go on but........you get the picture (Boston 4-2)


PS: If you want to stop the Celtics, you have to stop Rondo. Rondo is breaking your defense down and creating space for the rest of the team to operate.


Another PS: Don't be surprised to see Rondo dunk on somebody and Eddie House and Leon Powe have a big game (ya better stop trapping Pierce)

Good post. You called it. Powe is just doing a job on the Celtics. You have to root for a cat like that. I just realized the Celtics have no white boys at all. Unless you count Scalabrine on the bench in his civilian clothes...
 



You know, the more I watch this Celtics team, the less disappointed I am that my Hawks lost to them....:clap::clap::clap:

Doc Rivers is fugging this game up......why was Powe on the bench during the Lakers run when you know he has had a good game.

F Stern and the NBA. The foul calls in the first half were pure BS. The Celtics were allowed to stay in the game while the lakers were force to play on their hills. Oh well I guess the Lakers will get calls in LA and it will end in 7. I'm not mad as a fan cause we fought through the BS but ref#26 can suck a fat babies ickd...

The comeback should give the Lakers a little bit of momentum heading into Game 3. I mean, LA finally hit the 3-point shot.

That keyed the comeback more than anything tonight. Hopefully those shots will fall for them in at Staples Center.

If you are Boston, you should not be overly concerned with how the game ended.

You won.

It does not matter how the win looks at this stage of the postseason. All Boston needs to do is win one game in LA to fully take control of this series.

Stop all this crying.. Celtics is clearly better than LA... be happy they let up and pretty much let LA back in the game...Celtics do you a favor by making it less embarrassing and you still crying....

For some reason Boston just stopped playing D in the 4th. As long as they play their best on defense and on the boards they will have no problem in beating LA.
 
Oh well I was pissed and left the sports bar only to turn on the radio and hear we scored 39 points in the 4th. Too late.

1. Why you calling me out because your team lost? The Boston players don't hate the Lakers. Maybe overzealous fans do but not the players. It's petty and silly. You should respect your opponent, but hate is a little too much.

2. I'm so sick of fans blaming the refs for losing. You have to make your own breaks--especially on the road. When someone blamed the refs for the Spurs blowing a 20-point lead against LA in the WCF, I was like why? They had a team on the ropes and let them fight back.

The Lakers lost this game because Boston took it to them on offense, on defense and on the glass and Kobe had another slow first-half. Blame those 12 guys for the loss and not a guy with a whistle.

Yes it would.......Celtics vs Lakers is what the NBA is all about in their mind. Sure they would love 7 game series and not a sweep.............but you don't have to worry about that. David Stern aint going to let that happen......Lakers will win at least 2 in Los Angeles. Celtics still will probably win the Championship and Stern will be happy with his high ratings and the NBA trophy with a marketable franchise. Just think how much Lakers and Celtics gear has been sold since they made the Finals. More national fans of those franchises than say a San Antonio or Cleveland. Hell look at the folks on this board that are Laker fans... Stern is like mo money, mo money......now if he can only get the Bulls and Knicks back competing for titles along with Boston and L.A. then the media frenzy for the NBA will be at a fever pitch again. Nothing like when your big market teams win.

Man quit the crying, LOL!! The Lakers lost. When dude took like 6 steps on that steal for the dunk, what did you say? LOL!! That was an obvious traveling violation, LOL!! :lmao:
