National Signing Day

PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – When you hear the words National Signing Day it is usually referred to as a national day for football signing. This year the department of athletics will host an all sport signing day event, that will not only feature football, but seven other sports on Wednesday, Feb. 6.

"National Signing Day is something that is normally centered and focused on just football," said Vice President/Director of Athletics Fred Washington. "Being in Texas we all know that football is king, but here at Prairie View A&M we like to celebrate all of our student athletes and everything that they bring to the table. We are taking this opportunity to have an event where our fans, our supporters, our sponsors and the media can learn more about Prairie View A&M. Fans will definitely hear about the football signees, but fans will also have an opportunity to hear about the signees and the great student athletes from all of the different sports. Hopefully this will give some insight on what it means to be recruited and a part of PV Nation."

Wednesday night, head PVAMU football coach Eric Dooley will not only discuss his 2019 new class of Panthers, head soccer coach Sonia Curvelo, head baseball coach Auntwan Riggins, head volleyball coach TaCho Tyler, head softball coach Vernon L. Bland, head golf coach Kevin Jennings, head women's track and field coach Angela Williams, and head women's basketball coach Sandy Pugh will all have the opportunity to discuss some of their signees.

The all sport signing day event is set to be held at the PVAMU College of Nursing at 6436 Fannin St. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. with a mix and mingle reception prior to the start of the 6:30 p.m. event. Hors d'oeuvres and a buffet will be served.

General admission is $25. Reserved seating tables are available for $200. The event will also feature door prizes, including the chance to win a pair of game tickets.

Tickets can still be purchased in advance online at pvpanthers.universitytickets.com/w/ or in person at the event.

No, they are not dammit don't jinx us o_O. Hero Sports reads twitter just like we do. They don't have a clue just like we don't. We'll know something at the party tomorrow night.

Good luck and congrats to everyone on getting athletes to better their program and the SWAC. i seen a few big time commits some of all yall have already grabbed.. dont mind us over here in the piney woods, fobbs aint workin
