Exactly. If you don't have the horses you can't play their game. There are plenty of undersized and quick players we can recruit. I'm going to be honest, any kid that is 7-foot and going to a SWAC school isn't even a project, he is a reject. :smh:

57-25 UCLA. Will Valley even score 35 points? :smh:
I don't see how they can't realize that. How are you going to play the same style they play, and they have better athletes, and expect to win :retard:.

thank GOD ucla is playing pitty ball......

had that been memphis.... :smh: they would have ran the score up!

i still want valley to push through and "try" a "lil" harder!

put some more pts up. close that gap

I appreciate the UCLA coach for keeping it respectable...I know there are some coaches that would have kept their starters in the entire time!!!!!

Good season VALLEY!!!!!!!

Dude lets be real. We use to be competitive. SU was ranked in the top 25 during the 91 season.

Hell, Butler is not a big time school and they are ranked. It's not about the style, it's about the players. And the SWAC just does not have the players to execute any style effectively against a No.1 seed right now.

Let's be real folks (thanks Panthro), this has to be the worst showing by any SWAC school in NCAA history. Sh*t!!!!!!!!!!!!

MVSU 29
UCLA 70

Final

29 points is the lowest point total in the first 2 rounds of the NCAA tournament, ever. :smh:

Lowest points scored in March Madness history....

Anyone ready to admit we all suck yet?

NO!! Valley sucked. Their style of ball wasn't conducive to even putting up a fight. How can you not hit wide open shots with no hand in your face? How can you not score more than 30 points in one game?:upset:

I would like to thank the SWAC CHAMPIONS Mississippi Valley tonight for building my bankroll tonight

:rolly: $3,000

:rolly: :rolly: :rolly: :rolly: :rolly: :rolly:

I started recording the game on DVR....I erased it midway during the first half.....

smh....

WOW.....I'm just glad we played a coach who know how to take his starters out...cus it coulda been alot worse......:smh::smh:

Man UCLA CHANGED MVSU's style... slowing the ball down wasnt MVSU's style during SWAC play.

Look, SWAC basketball is bad....that's why Valley was able to play that style. Even if Valley had sped up it the game still would not have been close.

SU Jag..once again....those kids Jobe had in the early 90s and 80s aren't playing for SU today as AAU has evolved and and there are more D-1 opportunities for kids everywhere...if AAU doesn't come, the SWAC can still get the best of Mississippi

I know a few coaches who I talk too from time to time and all of them are small school coaches...they all say the same thing you say...recruit undersized bigs and run....

Look at Belmont, Butler, UTA, etc...these teams are doing the same things now SWAC schools use to do exclusively which in turn dilutes the talent pool

l

I have tried to explain that to him over and over again. AAU basketball and integration KILLED HBCU basketball. Jobe didnt win at SU (second time) and at Tuskegee for the same reasons SWAC coaches cant win now.

SU wasn't winning with Mississippi players. Louisiana, Alabama, and Ohio. SU's team wasn't built with SUper stars.
