MVSU Signing Day 2014

Let's get back to Valley signees...But Comegy would cancel half the spring practices and the game was never a big event after year 2
 
And one more thing, just Get Ready to be majorly disappointed on 3rd downs, cause Hayes only plays man to man. He can't teach the kids how to play zone. Believe me, it's coming. That is how SU killed us in the SCG. Couldn't cover the slot receiver.
 



I know Valley and the rest of the coalition will think we're just hating on Comegy, but that's not the case believe me. This is just a condensed version of the last 7 years in the blue bengal den. We're just trying to help out because we love black people.

Yeah, this is more of a public vent. LOL. I don't see any Valley-bashing whatsoever.
 
To all of the jackson state folks who took time from their busy schedule to post this and that regarding Comegy. Thanks, but no thanks. I've never seen so many people want to offer advice to Valley before. I have an idea for you, get you some bengay, geritol, tiger balm, vicks vapor rub and maybe some viagra and go rub down the senior citizen that you call coach. Stay in your box as we don't want or need anything from you.

Oh I know how yall felt about Rick. I know TP was the only one publicly defending Big Rick. JayRob and some others often voiced their displeasure for Comegy and so did some folks I knew back home. He was never a favorite of folks. Now I do see some of those same folks being nervous about the firing of Rick for the current hire. They didn't mind Rick being let go. Just thought somebody else would have gotten the job. That's been the gist of my folks mindset on the matter. They are like some on here. Wait and see approach. Which is understandable. Hell we had to do the same with Big Worm. Wait and see.

I for one want JSU to still win games except against SU. But I would love to see Valley rise up too. It would make it interesting in the home state and the SWAC East if all 3 SIP schools were contenders.

It's not hard to defend a legendary coach who won an average of 8 games over a 4 year span, won/tied the division all of those 4 years, and went to the SCG two of the four. Comegy is a quality coach but we needed a "next level" coach and staff at JSU.

Dude you guys focusing on the head coach without looking at the assistants. His job is to motivate and push his coaches.

Defensively he's hired a former head coach with NFL experienceand palyed and made him assistant head coach/also DB coach
LB coach 7 year man from Army with NFL experience and played in the NFL
DL NFL Dlimen with NFL Experience
Former LB coach helping with LB and Fulltime Special teams..

All upgrades over Hayes,the other DL dude and Comegy....All can actually get out there and teach....

We fine with the hire... Just be warned as we saw first hand Comegy's shortcomings...

Hey brah, I tried to help you guys by telling you things from my heart and this is the thanks I get? This is how I get repaid? Well, congrats on your recruits hope you all have a good season and I truly hope you all hire Woody for your OC to go along with Hayes as your DC.
 
Nice to see so much interest shown on a school that most from Lynch Street say they don't even check for. Can't say that I'm shocked but it is what it is on here.

And going after a recruit? Really? Didn't know there was a rule in which once one school put in an offer other schools can't make an offer? Guess you have to be mad at Findlay (D2) because they were the other school (along with Valley) that he had in his final 3.

Its an interesting discussion...really uncharted territory. You rarely see coaches move within the conference, especially within the same state. It will be interesting to see what Comegy can do at a lower-resource school. In all seriousness, I wish you the best except when you play JSU.

Ok then leave it alone. Think about it, no one asked for nor wants any advice from you guys. This smells like fear. Like we made a mistake and came up on the short end. I've never seen so much babbling by grown azz men.

Fear? You're confused. Comegy will do that to you. I remember one time he said that Jimmy Oliver was starting and then he fell asleep in his office during the interview and woke up saying he had a dream that Trey Rutland was gonna start. He does that every now and then.
