Wow. Dammmmmmmmmmmn! How in the hell did Comegy pull that off!


Javon "Bubba" Neal is a beast! These are the types of kids that Valley doesn't usually see in this era. Comegy must have used the buddy system technique to steal him. The other two kids are solid pick ups, but Neal is a 2 star DB who had offers from Troy, Southern Miss, Indiana, San Diego State, Memphis, Florida Atlantic, Florida International, South Alabama, Middle Tennessee State, Western Kentucky, Kent State and UCF!


So far, there is no doubt that MVSU has just picked up the highest ranked DB in the SWAC. What a statement for Comegy.

Yeah from my research of him he is definitely a steal for us... as everyone said, we need to beat out the Sun Belt and C-USA schools for athletes. You can either go and wait to play for them or play for the SWAC schools immediately.

Comegy hitting up FL hard I see... one potentially steal from AL and of course Mississippi

I am talking about as far as the recruiting rankings. There are a few more DB's that have SWAC offers who arr ranked higher by different recruiting organizations, but I haven't seen one sign just yet. Neal is a solid 2 star.

The DB from Karr SU signed is a two star

Yeah, he was a nice pick up for SU and is a beast. But this Bubba kid was still ranked higher and had more D-I offers. This was a great pick up for Valley. I can't believe Comegy was able to pull that kid away from Indiana and UCF to come to Valley.
 



Love the young pieces Comegy is adding to go with Julian Stafford and Jerrell Moore. I know he will be adding more beef along both lines in the coming days and weeks. If we can keep Pat healthy, he may be able to put some numbers up this year.

stole lol. He's been committed to SU since October when he came to SU's homecoming.

The shocker of the day was Valley landing Neal. That is a perfect example of skilled recruiting. He is going to start as a freshman at Valley and might even cause some hell. He can play. Valley fans should be encouraged by having a coach who can flip a 2 star DB from signing with a Big Ten school. Neal was a wanted man. I only found out about the kid because of my South Alabama contacts. They wanted him pretty bad as well.
 
Although I'm not a Valley fan, I hope Comegy brings a winner to US82. He won in Jackson and his firing was some shullbit for real. Anything that helps the Valley, really helps all of us. The SWAC needs all the talent it can get. Our football product has to improve. So if this helps Valley, we all win.

One of my Valley insiders/alum just told me not to be shocked if Comegy gives an offer to Greenwood's 6'4 2 star QB Kwadra Griggs late in the process. Don't know much about this kid, but I was told that even through he is a 2 star QB and ranked in the top 100 of the state, he was a low profile recruit due to ACT issues. That same source told me that he is taking it sone time this month. We shall see how true this is in the upcoming months. One thing is for sure about Comegy, he will recruit from Mississippi to Maine until the last day to register for class. He did it at Jackson and Tuskegee.

You got some good sources. I had BEEN campaigning to get that kid looked at. He signed with Itawamba Comm. Coll. The kid has been a STARTER at Greenwood High since he was a freshman. He was plagued by injuries the last couple years. Think about this, he was the one throwing to (Ole Miss signee) Sammie Epps and (USM signee) Korey Robertson. Somebody had to get them the ball. Athletic, strong-armed and would give us great depth at qb.

P.S. Kwadra is also an EXCELLENT baseball player. Has batted over .400 a couple years.

Thanks for the kudos dude. I am all over top ranked recruits. I find the background stories of these recruits interesting. I read that that kid impressed Mullins in the football camp in Starkville. I think Comegy and his men should really show this kid some support because who knows what will happen after he gets past the ACT.
