I think people want Valley to beat Jackson, but I don't believe many expect them to beat Jackson. Comegy needs at least two more recruiting classes before anyone starts predicting them to beat anyone. However, this is the SWAC. Anything can happen. It's not like Valley hasn't been Jackson hell the past few years.

Glad Hopson is doing well as I prediticted, however, we can name 41 reasons why Alcorn doesn't need to be parading around Mississippi for the few wins the Braves have seen on the scoreboard vs. the GMEN.

I agree. When Comegy chose PV as our HC opponent, we didn't like it becasue it was so late in the year but he wanted to choose the weakest opponent becasue he promised that we would win Homecoming.

That's pretty slim and ugly for the spring, but as quite as its kept, Valley has a 2 star lineman from Florida, and a JUCO 300 pound star who will most likely start next year. That 2 star kid shockingly choose Valley over a MAC Conference school. As of right now, Valley offensive line will go from 5 bodies to 12 when summer practices come around. I have bashed Comegy before and will probably bash him in the future, but I have always respected him as a recruiter, and a coach who can turn programs into winning programs. There is no doubt that the talent bar at Valley will be raised sooner than later.

lets break this down oh brilliant one. Yal moved the game to Shreveport and we beat yal ass. Yal moved the game to Indy and we beat yal ass, yal got more money and still had to ride buses while we flew. Then yal started crying bout some darn muscle milk. Now ummmm who needs the money? Seems to me that extra money yal got will be going to JSU now oh brilliant one lol

What's your overall record against Grambling again? How many SWAC titles do you own?



Boy I tell ya'll, things have to get back to normal in Grambling, Louisiana very soon anytime Alcorn fans start messing up a thread about Valley's schedule. I was one of the main people saying that Hopson eas going to do well, but 9 wins have some of these folks who aren't used to winning that many games in 4 years heads. Some of you Alcorn fans, not all, need to buy a Vicksburg bag and enjoy Hopson while he is still your head coach.

Because look at Comegy's record versus Grambling and he even knows Grambling won't be down long, he is not even fooled by the 2 year hiatus.

Correction we didn't move the game to Indy, that was Alcorns home game, keep up. I don't give a care what you say but with a 2 year hiatus Alcorn still has no clout. You would think you all won the SWAC Championship but that hasn't happened since the Championship game has been implemented, hell win the East in this lifetime.

Ya know!!!!


I am mad this dude is running off at the mouth because I really like Alcorn and Hopson. I was one of the main people giving their former AD his props for making a great hire. I remember Hopson when he was riding in the NOLA with the Green Wave. But now, some of these Alcorn fans, (not all), have taking things too far after beating us two years in a row and finally tasting 9 wins. Hell, they damn near lost to the 2012 team!


It's all good, you can't keep a good Tiger down.

Anyway, back to the Delta Dudes;



I really feel that Valley should have called around and scheduled a Paine College or another brand new program to rack up another win before going into SWAC play. There is nothing wrong with scheduling these type of teams when you are trying to rebuild and change the culture of a program. Comegy has already shown that he is trying to change the mentality of the program by signing all of those players from winning high school programs only. This was a very bold move, but it sure lit some fire in all of those who pay attention to quality recruits. Valley has signed some kids who they aren't use to seeing in Itta Bena. While everyone is sleeping, Comegy has been sneaking some more kids in his program. As we saw while he was at Tuskegee and Jackson, he is going to recruit hard at areas of concern and eat every FCS's leftovers until the second to register for class. He might love it at Valley because I heard that they are known for making arrangements to get people in school a little bit past the deadline. (I hope I didn't air any dirty laundry.)


I was just told the other day that he gave a scholarship to some kid from Tuscaloosa who had a few offers pulled from him at the last minute and was going to walk on for Alabama and attempt to get a scholarship next season. I don't know how true that is yet, but my sources are pretty damn good. Comegy is just a coach trying to put together winners from wherever. You got to respect it.
