Motorcycle Riders

I see it didn't take long to meet some fellow riders around your way.
Don't fall in with the guys that ride reckless in and out of traffic every where they go.
Remember your first year riding is the most dangerous. Your skills are still developing and now is when you become the rider you will always be.
Stay true to yourself and your skill level. You are too old to be bothered by peer pressure.

Yeah I noticed those reckless ones last night. The first leg of our trip we all rode together and pretty much the speed limit. The second leg we broke up into two groups 1) slow/speed limit and 2) fast/'0 to100' real quick. I mistakenly got into the 2) fast group and they left my "newbie" azz in the dust. All I smelt was burning rubber after each green light LOL. A few times they bobbed and weaved around traffic and I just watched from behind. The sweeper commended me on not following those guys and staying in my comfort zone. I felt bad for him since he had a 1400cc and had to stay back behind my azz.

Bump:

This was such a great thread I decided to find it and revive it.

What are you riders up to? Any pounding going on?

Heck yeah. I live in Orlando so you know we can ride all year long. I've even been neglecting the gym because of it.. The group I ride with likes to stop and eat/drink during every ride so the pounds are slowly coming back. LOL.

My bike has a carburetor so I'm about to get a jet kit installed in order to switch to a shorty exhaust. I still have that huge azz stock exhaust which is quite as hell.

I would post a pic of "shredder" but I'm selfish. The once lead painter @ American Ironhorse once hq'd in Fort Worth took my purple/gold scheme w/ him and made a LOT of $$$$ off of it. I haven't touched it since year before.

I have some friends that use to work there. They once build some beautiful bikes, but those last 2-3 years. smh

I missed Daytona this year due to work. Next Big Ride is from DC to Detroit in June with several "milk runs" in between.

Hey - Any of you taking advantage of the good weather (outside of Houston) and rolling on two's?

Last Saturday, me and 2 buddies rode from Fort Worth to Shreveport for a BBQ. Sky was partly cloudy, but no rain. We kicked it had a blast. On the water home it started raining soon as we crossed the state line back into TX, and rained all the way to The east loop od 610 in Dallas. We hit 20 @ 610 and the sun came out. It rained on us for better than 2 hours and in the last 45 min the sun and wind dried us all up. Still had a great time...

One more thing...rain drops feel like little rocks @ 60+ mph. lol

For sure - rode from the NC line to Mount Vernon, VA in sleet and snow returning from Daytona '14. The dumbest shiggity we ever done. Need to find pics of my snow covered Glide.
