Most Heated Rivalry...pt2


Too many unexperienced people in the ring. I'm tryin' to block punches to keep them from gettin' killed in a place they don't belong. They fail to realize that some battles are not worth fighting. :teleport:

That is part of what I'm speaking of. My first time experiencing the SFC was 1997, and the atmosphere surrounding the game was just different. And not just because it was my 1st year. I think this game peaked in 98. Up until then, it constantly gained momentum. After 98, with the exception of 1 year (maybe 2), it just wasn't worth the hype (as a whole).

I think the game lost a bit of the luster between 98-02 but these last couple of years have been enjoyable IMO.

Its out of grambling and texas southern definitely. Personally, bandwise I think PV vs. Gsu is more of a rivalry than PV vs. TxSu. Grambling has been more consistent over the last 10 years than Txsu in my opinion. Plus, the game in Dallas is WAY bigger. The PV/GSU halftime is an event in itself. I enjoyed reading the scounting reports of the bands in the Dallas newpaper leading up to the game this year. With the labor day classic being the first game alot of the kinks are not worked out.
